  • ABCA All-American & Gold Glove lists 6/13 - The Amercian Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released their 2013 ABCA/Rawlings All-American & Gold Glove lists on June 13th. Trojan Baseball had four players make the list for the Pacific Association Division. Max Whitt was 1st Team; Mitch Viydo was 3rd Team; Stockton Taylor & Dylan Lavelle were Gold Glove. 
  • Trojan Pitcher Drafted - Josh Kimborowicz was drafted in the 19th Round in the National Baseball League by the Tampa Bay Rays. Josh Kimborowicz, who pitched for Mount Si during his senior year in 2010 after transferring from Henry M. Jackson High in Mill Creek.  Due to this took place in the middle rounds, there are contract options for Kimborowicz, that could be doable for him if he has nothing else lined up college-wise. He was a sophomore pitcher for the Trojans, and would have two years of eligibility left if he were to pursue a transfer to a 4-year school. After going 4-1 with a 1.58 earned run average for Everett in 2013, the Baseball America Magazine considered him to be one of the top pitching prospects from Washington in this year’s draft class. This year Josh had 39 strikeouts in 34 innings, and only gave up six earned runs in those innings.  If he signs with the Rays, he will most likely be assigned to Tampa Bay's minor league affiliate in Tampa, FL, which plays in the Gulf Coast rookie league.
  • Trojan Baseball Alumni to pitch in MLB 6/3 - EvCC Baseball Alumni Stephen Fife is slated to pitch in tonight’s Major League Baseball game for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they face the San Diego Padres.
  • 2013 NWAACC Baseball All-Tournament Team 5/31 – After the Championship Game at Lower Columbia College on May 31st, the NWAACC announced the All-Tournament Team. There were seven Trojan players on the team.  MVP - Gunnar Swanson, Pitcher; Rob Ingram, Catcher; Max Whitt, Infielder; Daniel Orr, Infielder; Paul Sitkowski, Outfielder; Josh Kimborowicz, Pitcher; Corbin Duffy, Designated Hitter.   • EVERETT TROJAN BASEBALL 2013 NWAACC CHAMPIONS!!! 5/31 – The Trojan Baseball Team was named the NWAACC Baseball Champions for the 2013 season with their 4-1 win over 2013 NWAACC Baseball Champions the Pierce College Raiders.  The Championship Game took place at David Story Field on the campus of Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA on Friday, May 31st.  This is Everett’s first title since 1967, after which the baseball program was dismantled.   The program was brought back to life in 2002 under Coach Levi Lacey. While the Trojans have attended the Championship Tournament, this is the first time they have won the title. In the championship game, Everett scored first with one run in the third inning on a Pierce error.  They added three more in the fourth on a passed ball and two doubles - Daniel Orr scored on the passed ball, Rob Ingram hit a double and scored Dylan Lavelle, and Paul Wilen hit a double and scored Rob Ingram.  Pierce scored their one run in the bottom of the fifth inning on a passed ball. Tournament MVP – Gunnar Swanson pitched a full game for Everett and only allowed the one run on four hits. Everett had 4 runs, 6 hits, 0 errors and 2 RBI’s and Pierce had 1 run, 4 hits, and 2 errors. Max Whitt, Rob Ingram & Paul Wilen each had a double; Rob Ingram & Paul Wilen each had an RBI. The 2013 Team finishes with a 39-9 overall record. 
  • NWAACC 2013 Hall of Fame Banquet 5/30 - Thursday evening at the Red Lion Hotel in Bellevue, the NWAACC held their annual Hall of Fame Banquet. This year, Everett CC inducted 4 well deserving individuals that had participated in athletics. Also inducted were 2 individuals from Edmonds CC, 1 individual & 1 team from Tacoma CC, 1 team from Bellevue College, 1 individual from Skagit Valley College/Lower Columbia College. For Everett, inducted were: Vicki Foltz (1979-1982); Ciara Papac (2000-2002); Nancy Snyder (1966-1968); & Carol West (1963-1965).   • 5/31 NWAACC Baseball 2013 Championship Game - Due to some questionable weather and an intense meeting on the morning of Monday, May 27th, the 2013 Baseball Championship Title Game will take place on Friday May 31st at 5:05pm. The Everett Trojans and the Pierce Raiders will both be back down in Longview, WA at David Story Field on the campus of Lower Columbia College to play for the title. Because of their undefeated status, the Trojans will only have to win one game to take the title home, however, for the Raiders to do that, they would have to beat the Trojans twice. LET'S GO TROJANS!!!
  • Baseball undefeated at Championship Tournament 5/26 - There was an 88 minute rain delay during the Trojans first game against Yakima Valley CC in a game that started at 3:35pm and didn't finish until 7:32pm. Everett's Jo Jo Howie was on the mound and while him and the Trojans did allow the Yaks to get 7 hits, they didn't let them score. Everett won 2-0 and had 9 hits and 2 RBI's. Yakima had only the 7 hits. Paul Sitkowski had a double; Stockton Taylor had both RBI's and  Tanner Romo, Max Whitt, Daniel Orr & Stockton Taylor each had a stolen base in the game. Jo Jo Howie is the winning pitcher and Jayce Nelson was the losing pitcher for Yakima. With a 2-0 win over the Yaks, the Trojans were to play at 9:05pm vs the Bulldogs of Bellevue College. However, due to the rain delays, that game didn't start until 11:26pm. After 16 hits between the two teams and the game ending at 2:04am (yes AM!), the Trojans come out on top to win 10-5. This was the sixth meeting between the two teams and Everett won 5 of the 6. The Trojans had 10 runs, 16 hits, 3 errors and 8 RBI's while the Bulldogs had 5 runs, 10 hits, 1 error and 2 RBI's. Jordan Kynaston was the winning pitcher and Dustin Doucette was the losing pitcher. Paul Sitkowski hit a home run on the first pitch from Doucette in the first inning to tie the game early on as Bellevue did score in the first inning. Max Whitt had a double and a stolen base; Paul Sitkowski had the Home Run and 1 RBI; Daniel Orr had 3 RBI's; Corbin Duffy & Stockton Taylor each had 2 RBI's.
  • Baseball wins second game vs Mt. Hood CC at Championships 5/25 - At 7:35pm on Saturday night, the Trojan Baseball team had the last game of the night at Story Field of Lower Columbia College. They played the Saints of Mt. Hood CC. The Trojans were the home team on the scoreboard and were in the field first. Everett pitcher Josh Kimborowicz took the mound and had a no hitter going into the 5th inning until Saints Ian Erickson hit a single. Kimborowicz went for 8 innings and only gave up 4 hits. Reliever Aaron Hatch pitched the final inning and only got 1 hit. For the Trojans, they scored in the bottom of the 5th by Rob Ingram hitting a double, Paul Wilen moves Ingram to third on an error single, Paul Sitkowski hits and moves Wilen to third and Ingram scores, Tanner Romo scores Paul Wilen on a sliding single. Everett was ahead 2-0 at the end of 5 innings. At the bottom of the 8th, Romo hits a single and advances to second on a pass ball. Daniel Orr hits a single and Romo scores. Trojans win 3-0 to move on in the winner's bracket and will face the Yaks of Yakima Valley CC at 3:05pm on 5/26. The Saints move to the loser bracket and will play Bellevue College on 5/26 at 12:35pm in a loser out game. Everett had 3 runs, 7 hits and 3 RBI's and Mt. Hood had 5 hits and 1 error. Rob Ingram had a double; Paul Sitkowski, Tanner Romo and Daniel Orr each had 1 RBI.
  • Trojan Baseball beats Chukars of TVCC in 1st game of 2013 NWAACC Championships 5/24 - The Trojan Baseball Team is in Longview, WA participating in the 2013 NWAACC 2013 NWAACC Coach Lacey with TrophyChampionship Tournament on the campus of Lower Columbia College. The first day, May 23rd was rained out and all games moved to the 24th. Due to a rain delay on the 24th, the Trojans first game of the tournament started about 9:15pm against the #1 team/seed from the Eastern Region, the Treasure Valley CC Chukars. Before the game began, full rosters for both teams were announced along with each team being presented with their league 1st place trophy, by Lower Columbia College Athletic Director - Kirc Roland. Everett was the visiting team on the scoreboard as they were the #2 seed from the North, even though they were the #1 team in the North. Gunnar Swanson took the mound for the Trojans and pitched a full game as the Trojans beat the Chukars by a score of 6-1. This moves the Trojans on in the winner's bracket to face the Saints of Mt. Hood CC at 7:35pm on the 25th. The Chukars move to the losers bracket and will face Tacoma CC at 12:35pm on the 25th in a loser out game. Everett had 6 runs, 13 hits, 2 errors and 6 RBI's and Treasure Valley had 1 run, 4 hits, 1 error and 1 RBI. Gunnar Swanson got the win for Everett and the losing pitcher for TVCC was Adrian Martinez. Corbin Duffy went 4 for 4 with a Home Run and 2 RBI's; Rob Ingram had a double; Max Whitt had a triple and 2 RBI's and Paul Sitkowki & Daniel Orr each had 1 RBI.

    5/23 NWAACC Baseball RAINED OUT - All four games that were scheduled for May 23rd have been rained out. These games will take place at the same times on May 24th, as it stands now. So Everett CC will play Treasure Valley CC at 7:35pm on Friday, May 24th. The schedule for the 25th will have games at 9:35am, 12:35pm, 4:35pm & 7:35pm. This is all contingent on the weather. Game times could change if it continues to rain. 

  • Seattle Times Story on Coach Lacey 5/21 - Libby Johnson wrote a great piece on Trojan Baseball Coach Levi Lacey and Don Shelton posted it on the Seattle Times Blog on May 21st. Johnson graduated from Edmonds CC, where she studied communications and was a staff writer for the Triton Review. The Everett resident will attend Central Washington University-Edmonds in the fall. The article gives some great background on Coach Lacey as well as why he recruits the student-athletes that he does. The full article can be found on the Athletics Blog.
  • Track & Field day 2 results from 2013 NWAACC Championship 5/21 - The second day of the 2013 Track & Field NWAACC Championship finished up today in Spokane, WA on the campus of Spokane Falls CC. The Track & Field Teams did very well with the Women taking 4th place and the Men taking 5th place. Mitch Beard 5th in the Men's 1500m; Nate Starr 5th in Men's 5000m; Chrishaun Thuman 4th in Women's 100m; Taija Bjorgo 5th in Women's 400m; Kaitlin Fisher 1st in Women's 800m; Rachel Cundy 2nd in Women's 5000m; Catie Arrigoni 3rd in Women's 5000m; Kristina Cordy 4th in Women's 5000m; Angel Rodgers 4th in Women's Hammer Throw.Full results are on the results page on the Track & Field webpage and on the Athletics Blog.
  • Story in Herald on Women's Track Star Catie Arrigoni 5/20 - The Herald staff wrote a brief article about Arrigoni winning the NWAACC 2013 Title in the Women's 3000m Steeplechase at the Track & Field Championships in Spokane, WA. Included in the article were teammates Brenna Eldredge, Rachel Cundy, Kristina Cordy and Habtamu Rubio for their acheivements in the first day of the Championship Meet.
  • Track & Field day 1 results from 2013 NWAACC Championships 5/20 - The Men & Women on the 2013 Track & Field Team are in Spokane, WA participating in the NWAACC Championship Meet. This is a two day event with some events being completed today while some will finish tomorrow - 5/21. Trojan Notabes (all of these athletes earned All-American honors today): Catie Arrigoni cruises to NWAACC Title in Women's 3k Steeplechase; Brenna Eldredge 3rd in Women's 3k Steeplechase; John Higgins 3rd in Men's Discus; Rachel Cundy 1st in Women's 10,000m; Kristina Cordy 2nd in Women's 10,000m; and Habtamu Rubio 2nd in Men's 10,000m.   • 5/23 - 5/27 NWAACC Baseball Championship Tournament - The 2013 NWAACC Baseball Championship Tournament will take place on the campus of Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA over the weekend of May 23rd to May 27th. The Trojan Baseball Team will be in attendance due to their 1st place finish in league play with a 21-3 league record. Game times for the 23rd are: 9:35am - Linn-Benton CC vs Pierce College; 12:35pm - Yakima Valley CC vs Bellevue College; 4:35pm - Tacoma CC vs Mt. Hood CC; 7:35pm EVERETT CC vs Treasure Valley CC. Game times for the 24th are the same just opponents will change, as the first two games will be the losers from the 23rd and the later games will be the winners. Everett CC will play at 7:35pm or 12:35pm on the 24th vs either Tacoma CC or Mt. Hood CC.

    Herald story by Rich Myhre on Catie Arrigoni 5/20 - The article in the Herald titled "Dominant steeple chase runner discovered sport at EvCC," was about sophomore Track & Field runner Catie Arrigoni and how she has become the favorite steeplechase runner in the NWAACC. Arrigoni has already accepted an offer for a full tuition scholarship from EWU next year. To read the full story check out the Athletics Blog.

  • Baseball Day 3 of Playoff Series 5/19 - The third and final day of the 2013 N. Region Baseball Playoff Series took place at Everett Memorial Stadium as it was hosted by Everett CC. The 12pm game was between Edmonds CC and Bellevue College. Edmonds won both of it's previous series games while Bellevue lost their first game against Edmonds, but they went on to beat Everett CC and Skagit Valley College to advance to play Edmonds. To win the series and be the #1 seed from the Northern Region at the 2013 NWAACC Baseball Championship Tournament, Edmonds just needed to beat Bellevue once, however, Bellevue would have had to beat Edmonds twice. The 12pm game was intense and close from beginning to end. With a score of 6-5, Bellevue beat Edmonds to force a second game. Bellevue had 6 runs, 10hits, 1 error and 6 RBI's while Edmonds had 5 runs, 9 hits, 1 error and 5 RBI's. The forced second game started about 30 minutes after the end of the first game. In this game, it was just as intense as the first and it showed who wanted it more. As it turns out, Bellevue College wanted it more as they beat Edmonds 8-5 to win the series and become the #1 seed. Bellevue had 8 runs, 12 hits, 1 error and 9 RBI's and Edmonds had 5 runs, 11 hits and 5 RBI's.
  • Softball results from 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament 5/17 - The 2013 NWAACC Softball Championship Tournament is being held at Delta Park in Portland, OR from 5/17-5/20. This is a double elimination tournament and have the Trojans facing the Cougars of Clackamas CC at 11:00am. This game was veryb close and came down to the very end and unfortunately, the Trojans weren't on the winning end of it. The Cougars won 4-2 and moved to play Southwestern Oregon CC at 3:30pm in the winner's bracket. Everett moved to the loser's bracket to play Olympic College at 3:30pm. Clackamas winning pitcher was Alyson Boytz and Everett losing pitcher was Samie Miller. Cougars had 4 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors and 4 RBI's and the Trojans had 2 runs, 3 hits and 1 error. Mindy James had all three hits for Everett and one was a double. The 3:30pm loser out game pitted the Trojans against the Rangers for the third time this season. At the end of this game, the Trojans 2013 season was unfortunately over. The Rangers won 11-5. Erika Henderson was the winning pitcher and Samie Miller was the losing pitcher. Olympic had 11 runs, 8 hits, 1 error and 9 RBI's while Everett had 5 runs, 10 hits, 1 error and 2 RBI's. Minna Ward had a triple and Samie Miller had a Home Run and 2 RBI's.
  • Baseball Day 2 of Playoff Series 5/17 - In the second day of the 2013 Northern Region Playoff Series, the first game started at 1:00pm and was between Everett CC and Bellevue College. This was a loser out game with the winner to play the loser of the 4:00pm game at 7:00pm. The Bulldogs showed up ready to play and it showed. Bellevue won 8-5 over Everett to continue on in the series. Jake Reppert was the winning pitcher and Jo Jo Howie was the losing pitcher. Bellevue had 8 runs, 12 hits and 7 RBI's and Everett had 5 runs, 7 hits and 5 RBI's. Christian Shouman had a double; Brad Falk had a Home Run and 2 RBI's; Tanner Romo, Daniel Orr & Corbin Duffy each had 1 RBI.
    In the 4pm game, Edmonds CC played Skagit Valley College. The winner would advance to the Championship game and the loser would play Bellevue College at 7pm. In a close game, the Tritons of EdCC was able to pull out the win 3-0. The 7pm game was a loser out game between Bellevue and Skagit. After a long break, Bellevue showed that they wanted to be in the Championship game by the way they played. They won and send Skagit home with a score of 6-1. The Championship game will game place on Sunday May 19th at 12:00pm between Edmonds and Bellevue. If Bellevue wins, there will be a second game to determine the winner of the series and who will be the #1 seed from the North at the 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament. Everett CC will be the #2 seed due to their first place finish in league.
  • Baseball Day 1 of Playoff Series 5/16 - The Trojan Baseball Team is hosting the 2013 Northern Region Playoff Series due to their first place finish in league. Yesterday, in the 1st day of the series - the first game pitted Edmonds CC vs Bellevue College. Edmonds won 6-2, sending them to the winner's bracket and sending Bellevue to the losing bracket. In the 2nd game yesterday - Everett faced Skagit Valley College. In a close game, that unfortunately didn't end well for the Trojans, Skagit won 6-5. Skagit had 6 runs, 12 hits, and 3 RBI's while Everett had 5 runs, 11 hits and 2 RBI's. Tanner Olson was the winning pitcher and Mitch Viydo was the losing pitcher. Daniel Orr had a double and 1 RBI; Stockton Taylor had a double; Corbin Duffy had a Home Run and 1 RBI.
    The 2nd day of the series is today. We start with game 3 from the losing bracket which has Everett facing Bellevue in a loser out game @ 1pm. Game 4 will be at 4pm and have Edmonds face Skagit Valley. The loser of game 4 will play the winner of the Everett/Bellevue game at 7pm tonight in game 5. Day 3 of the series will take place on Sunday afternoon. At 12pm, the winner of the Edmonds/Skagit Valley game will face the winner of the game 5. If the the game 5 winner beats the winner of Edmonds/Skagit Valley, there will be a second game on Sunday at 3pm. The winner of the N.Region Playoff Series will be the #1 seed at the 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA on May 23-27. Trojan Pitcher, Alex Koepliln had this to say: "Since day one we have been working on one goal and we all have one thing in mind.   • 2013 Northern Region Baseball All-Stars 5/15 - The baseball coaches in the Northern Region meet on Wednesday, May 15th to discuss and vote for the All-Stars for the 2013 season. The Trojans had 10 players receive honors and Head Coach Levi Lacey was named Northern Region Coach of the Year. Max Whitt was named League MVP. 1st Team selections - Infielders: Daniel Orr, Dylan Lavelle, Stockton Taylor; Starting Pitcher: Gunnar Swanson; Relief Pitcher: Mitch Viydo. 2nd Team selection - Outfielders: Keenan Forch, Paul Wilen; Catcher: Corbin Duffy; Starting Pitcher: Jo Jo Howie.   • 5/20-5/21 Track & Field @ NWAACC Championship Tournament - The Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams will be in Spokane, WA on the campus of Spokane Falls CC on Monday & Tuesday May 20th & 21st competing in the 2013 NWAACC Track & Field Championships. Monday's events start at 10am. There will be a community service project at the meet - the NWAACC will be collecting canned food for 2nd Harvest. Student-Athletes are asked to bring at least 2 cans of food each for the project. Families/Friends/Community that attend the meet and brings at least 2 canned food items will receive a meet program for free. Let's help 2nd Harvest feed the hungry! 
  • 5/17-5/20 Softball @ NWAACC Championship Tournament - With their 4th place finish in league, the 2013 Softball team will be in Portland, OR at Delta Park on Friday May 17th participating in the 2013 NWAACC Championship Softball Tournament. The Trojans are the #12 seeded team in the tournament and will face the #5 team - Clackamas CC in their first game at 11:30am. Their second game will be at 3:30pm vs either #13 Olympic College or #4 Southwestern Oregon CC. This is a four day, double elimination tournament hosted by Chemeketa CC. There will be a community service project taking place at the tournament - NWAACC will be collecting clothes for the Homeless Youth Clothing Drive. 
  • 5/16, 5/17 & 5/19 Trojan Baseball host 2013 Northern Region Playoff Series - With their first place finish in league this year, the Trojan Baseball Team will host the Northern Region Baseball Playoff Series. The double elimination series will take place at Everett Memorial Stadium on May 16th, 17th & 19th and will be between the top four teams in the North. Game schedule is May 16th: Game 1 #2 vs #3 at 4pm; Game 2 #1-EvCC vs #4 at 7pm; May 17th: Game 3 - loser game 1 vs loser game 2 at 1pm; Game 4 - winner game 1 vs winner game 2 at 4pm; Game 5 - winner game 3 vs loser game 4 at 7pm; May 18th: NO GAMES; May 19th: Game 6 - winner game 4 vs winner game 5 at 12pm; Game 7 - if needed at 3pm - game 5 winner must beat game 4 winner twice to win the series. Due to their first place finish in league the Trojans have an automatic advancement to the NWAACC Championship Tournament. If EvCC wins the playoff series, they will be the #1 seed from the Northern Region at the 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament and they team they beat to win the series will be the #2 seed. If EvCC does not win the playoff series, they will be the #2 seed and the winner will be the #1 seed. The 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament will take place on May 23-27 at Lower Columbia College in Longview, WA.
  • Trojan Softball takes both vs Skagit Valley 5/11 - In the last regular season league games of the 2013 season, the Trojan Softball team was in Mt. Vernon, WA to play the Skagit Valley College Cardinals. There were 13 hits in the first game, and pitcher Samie Miller and the Trojans got the win 3-1. Everett had 3 runs, 8 hits, 4 errors and 3 RBI's and Brieanna Lopez an Skagit had 1 run, 5 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. For Everett - Mindy James had 1 RBI, Kailyn Gylling had 2 RBI's and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. During the second game, there were 21 hits and while the Cardinals scored 2 more than the first game, the Trojans had 9 more to win 12-3. Samie Miller was the winning pitcher and Devin Hiltz was the losing pitcher. Trojans had 12 runs, 14 hits, 1 error and 12 RBI's while the Cardinals had 3 runs, 7 hits, 3 errors and 3 RBI's. For the Trojans - Mina Ward had a triple and 2 RBI's; Samie Miller had 3 RBI's; Rachel Backlund & Monica Clow each had 2 RBI's; Mindy James, Kailyn Gylling & Dani Norsby each had 1 RBI and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. Trojans finish league with a 12-12 record in 4th place, 23-19 overall, Cardinals finish 5-19 in league in 6th place and 7-32 overall.
  • Softball splits with Shoreline 5/10 - Friday, May 10th, the Trojan Softball Team played a league double header at Shoreline CC in Seattle, WA. In the first game, with a total of 12 hits, the score was 1-0 with Shoreline winning. Kelsie Mason was the winning pitcher and Samie Miller was the losing pitcher. Shoreline had 1 run and 6 hits and Everett had 6 hits and 1 error. The second game was a little different, there were still a lot of hits - 19 total, but the score was 9-2 in favor of the Trojans. Samie Miller was the winning pitcher and Alia Kelly was the losing pitcher. Everett had 9 runs, 11 hits, 1 error and 3 RBI's while Shoreline had 2 runs, 8 hits, 9 errors and 2 RBI's.   • Softball lose both to Douglas 5/7 - The Trojans hosted their last regular season league double header home games of the 2013 season against the Royals of Douglas College on Tuesday afternoon, May 7th. The Trojan Sophomores - Mindy James & Samie Miller, were recognized by the coaches and freshman for their 2 years of playing and there was also a BBq at the game to thank family, friends and fans for their support. In the first game, the Royals showed why they are #2 in league and #8 in the Coaches Poll by beating the Trojans 10-2. The winning pitcher was Kayla Myre and the losing pitcher was Samie Miller. Douglas had 10 runs, 15 hits, 1 error and 10 RBI's and Everett had 2 runs, 6 hits, 4 errors and 1 RBI. Minna Ward had a double, RBI and stolen base and Mindy James had a stolen base for the Trojans. In the second game, the Trojans were ahead going into the final inning, however, the Royals tacked on 4 runs to take the lead and ultimately the win 9-6. The Royals winning pitcher was Carling Hare and the losing pitcher was Samie Miller. Douglas had 9 runs, 13 hits, 3 errors and 7 RBI's while Everett had 6 runs, 10 hits, 4 errors and 6 RBI's. For Everett: Dani Norsby had 2 RBI's; Mindy James, Minna Ward, Rachel Backlund and Logan Thomas each had 1 RBI. The Trojans have 9-11 league record (tied 4th with Shoreline CC in league standings) and 20-18 overall record. The Royals are 17-3 in league (2nd in league standings) and 22-5 overall.
  • Baseball beats Douglas at home 5/5 - The Douglas College Royals were at Everett Memorial Stadium on Sunday May 5th for the Trojans final league games of the 2013 season. The double header started at 1:00pm and both games were exciting to watch, as there were a lot of hits from both teams. In the 1st game, the Trojans had 9 hits to the Royals 7, and the Trojans won 7-6. Jo Jo Howie was the winning pitcher, Mitch Viydo got the save and Cory Duggan was the losing pitcher. Everett had 7 runs, 9 hits, 1 error and 7 RBI's and Douglas had 6 runs, 7 hits and 6 RBI's. For Everett: Max Whitt had a double and 3 RBI's; Daniel Orr & Dylan Lavelle had a double and RBI each; Paul Sitkowski had a double; Brad Falk & Rob Ingram each had an RBI. During the second game, there were 25 hits between the two teams. The Trojans came out on the winning end at the completion of the game with a score of 10-7. Everett had 10 runs, 12 hits, 2 errors and 10 RBI's while Douglas had 7 runs, 13 hits, 2 errors and 6 RBI's. Stockton Taylor recorded the win for the Trojans and Quinn Allen got the loss. For Everett: Jon Mercer had a double and RBI; Brad Falk had 3 RBI's; Corbin Duffy had 2 RBI's; Keenan Forch, Christian Shouman & Tanner Romo each had an RBI; Dylan Lavelle had an RBI and stolen base; and Daniel Orr had a stolen base. Everett finishes league with a 21-3 league record and 34-7 overall record. After this league series, Douglas is 9-11 in league and 13-16 overall with four more league games left.
  • Track & Field results from UW 5/4 - The Trojan Track & Field Teams were in Seattle, WA on Saturday, May 4th participating in the University of Washington Ken Shannon Invite. Here are some highlights: Catie Arrigoni won the Women's 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:10.94; Rachel Cundy took 4th in the Women's 5000m Run with a time of 18:20.50; Nate Starr took 5th in the Men's 5000m Run with a 15:34.29 time; Cristian Reyes with a throw of 34.49m took 6th in the Men's Discus.
  • Softball sweeps Edmonds 5/4 - The Trojans hosted the Tritons of Edmonds CC on the afternoon of May 4th for a league double header. In the first game, the Trojans had 12 hits to the Tritons 6 and they shut out the Tritons 6-0. Samie Miller was the winning pitcher and Danielle Smythe was the losting pitcher. Everett had 6 runs, 12 hits and 3 RBI's, while Edmonds had 0 runs, 6 hits and 3 errors. Rachel Backlund had an RBI and a stolen base; Dani Norsby & Monica Clow each had an RBI; Karis Monesmith had 2 stolen bases and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. In the second game, the Trojans once again had 12 hits yet the Tritons had 8 and they scored this game, however, it wasn't enough to get past the Trojans as Everett won 15-4. Everett had 15 runs, 12 hits and 10 RBI's to Edmonds 4 runs, 8 hits, 3 errors and 3 RBI's. Samie Miller got the win again and Lindsey Hiner got the loss. Minna Ward had a double, 2 RBI's and a stolen base; Mindy James had 2 RBi's and a stolen base; Dani Norsby had a double and an RBI; Samie Miller had a double; Carmen Parker & Logan Thomas each had 2 RBI's; and Karis Monesmith had an RBI. Everett is 9-9 in league and 20-16 overall and Edmonds is 0-20 in league and 0-29 overall.
  • Baseball splilts @ Douglas College 5/4 - The Baseball Team was in New Westminster, BC at Whalley Field to play a league double header with Douglas College. While there were a number of hits, the scores of both games were not only low, but also close. In the first game, the Douglas Royals won 1-0. Douglas had 1 run, 4 hits, 1 error and 1 RBI and Everett had 0 runs and 4 hits. Josh Larsen was the winning pitcher and Gunnar Swanson was the losing pitcher. Dylan Lavelle had a double and Stockton Taylor had a stolen base. The second game, had the Trojans winning 2-0 over the Royals. Everett had 2 runs, 6 hits, 1 error and 1 RBI while Douglas had 0 runs, 7 hits and 3 errors. Everett's Alex Koeplin was the winning pitcher, Mitch Viydo got the save and Douglas's Caleb Lefebvre was the losing pitcher. Rob Ingram had a double and Daniel Orr had the RBI.
  • NWAACC Baseball & Softball Coaches Polls 5/3 - Saturday morning, May 4th, the NWAACC released the most current coaches polls for the 2013 Baseball & Softball seasons for May 3rd. On the Baseball poll, the Trojans stayed in the top spot and only the previous 3, 4 & 5 spots changed - 4 & 5 moving one spot up each and 3 moving down to the 5 spot. Edmonds CC is the only other N. Region team to make the top 8 and they stayed in the 8th spot. On the Softball poll, Wenatchee Valley College also stayed in the top spot.   • Track & Field Athletes of the Week 5/4 - The Athletes of the Week for Men's & Women's Track & Field Week #9 have been released by the NWAACC. Men's Track - Lane Sophomore - Jamiel Lowery. Men's Field - Lane Freshman - Gabe Rodriguez. Women's Track - EVERETT CC Sophomore - Catie Arrigoni. Women's Field - no nominations. Everett's Arrigoni was nominated and named due to her performance at the 2013 Western Washington University Twilight Meet in the 3000m Steeplechase with at time of 10:59.70. Nominators comments: "Catie, who signed to run at EWU next year, won the event at WWU Twilight Meet where her 10:59.70 time was not only an EvCC school record, but also a meet and an NWAACC record. The time represents a massive 35 second improvement from her previous personal best."
  • Softball splits with Olympic 5/3 - On the afternoon of May 3rd, the Rangers of Olympic College were in Everett to play a league double header with the Trojans at the Everet Boys & Girls Club. The first game was a close one! Everett won by one at the bottom of the inning! 5-4. Everett's Samie Miller was the winning pitcher and Emily Anderson was the losing pitcher. Everett had 5 runs, 9 hits, 2 erros and 3 RBI's and Olympic had 4 runs, 10 hits, 1 error and 3 RBI's. Minna Ward and Rachel Backlund each had a double; Samie Miller had a Home Run and 3 RBI's. The second game of the day was completely different than the first. The Rangers got out early with a lead and didn't let it go, winning 12-2 in 5 innings due to the 10 run rule. Rangers Erika Henderson was the winning pitcher and Molly Hoffman was the losing pitcher for the Trojans. Olympic had 12 runs, 12 hits and 11 RBI's while Everett had 2 runs, 4 hits and 2 errors. Minna Ward had a double and a stolen base and Rachel Backlund had a double.

  • Trojan Baseball clinches 2013 Northern Region Championship - With the four game sweep over Olympic College on April 27th & 28th, the Trojans clinched the 2013 Northern Region Title and secured a spot in the 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament at the end of May. Sophomore Stockton Taylor had this to say - "The 2012-13 Everett baseball season has been a positive and exciting footstep for the Trojan baseball team and a big success for Everett CC. The baseball team has really come together as family and have learned to respect each other as teammates. Whether we have failed or succeeded we have left the field with a positive note and attitude. This year the Trojans have played with respect for the game and have learned to overcome doubt and failure. This year has been about playing and acting with a "Pro Focus", on or off the field we as players know who we are representing, The Everett Community College Baseball Program."
  • Baseball sweeps Olympic College 4/27 & 4/28 - The Trojan baseball team extended their win streak to 10 with their 4 wins over Olympic College this past weekend. On Saturday, the Trojans were in Bremerton, WA for two games - first game 7 innings and the second game 9 innings. In the first game, the Trojans won 6-1 with Gunnar Swanson getting the win and the losing pitcher was Ryan Taylor. Everett had 6 runs, 9 hits, 1 error and 4 RBI's and Olympic had 1 run, 5 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. For Everett, Paul Sitkowski had a double, Daniel Orr a double and an RBI, Brad Falk a double and RBI and Dylan Lavelle with a triple and 3 RBI's. In the second game, the Trojans won 11-6 and the winning pitcher was Alex Koeplin and the losing pitcher was Devin Smith. For the Trojans, Paul Wilen, Max Whitt, Daniel Orr and Stockton Taylor each had a double; Stockton Taylor had a triple; and Rob Ingram had a Home Run. The first game began at 1:00pm. The Bulldogs showed why they are the #1 team in the Northern Region and undefeated in league. The score of the first game was 9-1 while the second was 4-3. The winning pitcher for both games was Brielle Bray from Bellevue and the losing pitchers were Samie Miller in the first game and Erin Feeney in the second. Results from the first game - Bellevue had 9 runs, 16 hits, 1 error and 9 RBI's while Everett had 1 run, 2 hits, and 1 RBI. For Everett Samie Miller had the RBI and Minna Ward had a stolen base.   • Results for Track & Field at WWU Twilight 4/26 - The Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams participated in the 2013 WWU Twilight in Bellingham, WA on the campus of Western Washington University. A couple of highlights - Catie Arrigoni won the Women's 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 10:59.70 (knocking off 35 seconds off of her previous personal best and beating the former EvCC record, WWU Twilight meet record and the NWAACC record); Rachel Cundy with a time of 5:14/94 in the Women's 1 mile took 4th; Nate Starr took 5th in the Men's 3000m Steeplechase with 9:43.99 time; and in the Hammer Throw, Cristian Reyes took 6th with a throw of 46.24m.

  • Softball beats Shoreline 4/23 - The Trojan Softball Team played a league double header make-up on April 23rd against the Dolphins of Shoreline CC. They were making up the rained out game from 4/13. While both games were close, the Trojans were able to pull out the win in both games and the second game actually went an extra inning. First game was 3-1 and the second was 4-3. No other information was available. Everett is now 6-6 in league (4th in the North) and 17-13 overall; Shoreline is 4-8 in league (5th in the North) and 10-18 overall.
  • Baseball game 2 make-up v Bellevue 4/23 - Bellevue College was back in Everett for the second night in a row on April 23rd, to play a league game to make-up for the rained out double header that was to take place on April 21st. This was the 9 inning game and started at 7pm. Everett scored 3 runs in the first inning and then scored 1 run in the 2nd, 5th, and 8th innings. Bellevue scored their only 3 runs in the 6th inning. Everett won the game 6-3 and swept the series - the first time in Coach Lacey's term as coach. Jo Jo Howie was the winning pitcher, Aaron Hatch got the save and the losing pitcher was Jake Reppert. Everett had 6 runs, 10 hits, 1 error and 6 RBI's. Bellevue had 3 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors and 3 RBI's. Tanner Romo had a double and an RBI; Daniel Orr had a triple and 2 RBI's; Paul Sitkowski, Dylan Lavelle & Brad Falk each had an RBI. The Trojans are now 14-2 in league (1st in the North) and 27-6 overall and the Bulldogs are 6-10 in league (4th in the North) and 16-15 overall.
  • Track & Field Throwers results from meets in California 4/18-4/20 - The Throwers on the Men's & Women's 2013 Track & Field Team traveled to California to take part in two meets with four year schools. They were first in Azusa, CA to participate in the Bryan Clay Invite hosted by Azusa Pacific University on April 18th & 19th. Then they participated in the Long Beach State Invite in Long Beach, CA.   • 4/26 Track & Field @ WWU Twilight - The Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams will be in Bellingham, WA this upcoming Friday, April 26th, to participate in the Western Washington University Twilight Meet. The meet will take place on the campus of WWU at Civic Field. 
  • Baseball game 1 make-up vs Bellevue 4/22 - The Trojans hosted the Bulldogs of Bellevue College on the night of 4/22 for a single 7 inning league game as part of the two game make-up from Sunday 4/21 rained out games. In this game, the Trojans scored first with 1 run in the first and then again in the 3rd to have a 3-0 lead going into the 4th inning, where the Bulldogs scored 4 to go ahead 4-3. Everett tied the game up at 4-4 in the bottom of the 6th inning. With two outs and a runner on 1st & 3rd, the Trojans Corbin Duffy was subbed in to hit and hit he did, he hit a long single to score the runner on 3rd to get Everett the win 5-4. Everett had 5 runs, 7 hits, 2 errors and 5 RBI's. Bellevue had 4 runs, 6 hits, and 4 RBI's. This win moves Everett to 13-2 in league and 26-6 overall with Bellevue being 6-9 in league and 16-14 overall. They will play 4/23 at 7pm for the 9 inning game to finish the makeup double header. Men's Track - Green River CC Freshman - Devonte Woods. Men's Field - Mt. Hood CC Sophomore - Tyler Callahan. Women's Track - EVERETT CC Freshman - Rachel Cundy. Women's Field - Lane CC Freshman - Shaneesa Applegate. Due to her performance at the Western Washington University Ralph Vernacchia Invite, Cundy for Everett CC was named. She ran the 5,000m run in 17:39.50. Nominator comment "Rachel took more than a minute off her previous PR time on her way to winning the 5,000m event. She narrowly missed breaking the Everett CC record set in 1980 by NWAACC, EvCC & Snohomish County Athletics Hall of Famer Vicki Foltz. That 17:39.30 record had not been threatened in more that three decades; it is now clearly in jeopardy."

  • Softball results from Crossover 4/20 & 4/21 - Trojan Softball was in Yakima over the weekend to participate in the 2013 NWAACC Crossover Tournament hosted by Yakima Valley CC. On Saturday, in their first game, the Trojans faced the Raiders of Pierce College at 1:00pm. Everett won 4-3 and had 4 runs, 7 hits, 3 errors to Pierce's 3 runs, 8 hits, and 2 errors. No other information was available. Their second game started at 5:00pm against the Trailblazers of Centralia College. In this game, the Trojans dominated with a 21-3 win. They had 21 runs, 15 hits, 3 errors and 13 RBI's while Centralia had 3 runs, 7 hits, and 8 errors. Erin Feeney was the winning pitcher for Everett, and Kayla DiBetta was the losing pitcher. Minna Ward had a double and 2 RBI's; Erin Feeney had 2 double and 5 RBI's; Samie Miller had a double and an RBI; Dani Norsby had a triple and 3 RBI's; Kailynn Gylling had 2 RBI's and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. On Sunday in their first game at 9:00am vs the Chemeketa CC Storm, the Trojans won 4-1. They had 4 runs, 6 hits, 1 error and the Storm had 1 run, 7 hits and 4 errors. No other information was available. At 1:00pm the Trojans played the Southwestern Oregon CC Lakers in the final game of the tournament. The Lakers definitely controlled this game, winning 10-2.   • Baseball results from Bellevue 4/20 - With the league double headers flip-flopped, the Trojan Baseball Team was in Bellevue, WA to play the Bulldogs of Bellevue College on the Saturday afternoon of April 20, 2013. In the first game, the Trojans were the first to score with 1 run in the 2nd inning. They scored again in the 4th inning with 3 runs, in the 6th inning & 7th inning each with 1 run. The Bulldogs were only able to score 1 run in the 3rd inning. Trojans win 6-1. Everett had 6 runs, 11 hits, and 5 RBI's. Bellevue had 1 run, 6 hits, and 1 error. Everett's Gunnar Swanson was the winning pitcher and the losing pitcher was Nick Kiel. For Everett: Daniel Orr had a double and 3 RBI's; Dylan Lavelle had a double and a triple; Brad Falk had a double; Jon Mercer and Rob Ingram each had an RBI; Max Whitt had a stolen base. In the second game of the day, Bellevue scored first with 2 runs in the 1st inning. However, Everett scored 1 in the 2nd, 3 in the 4th, 6 in the 5th and 1 on the 8th for 11 runs. Bellevue scored again with 1 in the 4th & 5th, 2 in the 7th and 1 in the 9th for a total of 7 runs. Everett wins the second game 11-7.   • NWAACC Baseball & Softball Coaches Polls 4/19 - The NWAACC released the most up to date coaches polls for the 2013 Baseball & Softball seasons on April 19th. On this poll, Everett Baseball is back up in the top spot after moving down to the 2nd spot on the previous poll. Edmonds CC, the only other Northern Region team on the poll, is in the 8th spot. On the softball poll, there were two Northern Region schools in the top 8, however, Everett was not one of them.   • 4/21 Baseball double header Rained Out - Everett CC was to host the league double header against Bellevue College at 1:00pm today. Unfortunately, Everett's home field - Everett Memorial Stadium is unplayable due to the recent rainfall. They will make up the games: Game 1 on Monday (4/22) night at 7pm and Game 2 on Tuesday (4/23) night at 7pm.
  • 4/20 & 4/21 Baseball games flip-flopped - Due to the weather and Everett's home field - Everett Memorial Stadium - being under water, the baseball games for this weekend have flip-flopped. Saturday's double header will now be played at Bellevue College and then Everett will host Sunday's double header hopefully on Sunday, if their field is playable. First game of both double headers will begin at 1:00pm, unless otherwise noted.
  • Softball Players of the Week 4/18 - The softball player of the week is freshman shortstop from Lower Columbia College - Haley Hobbs. She had a .611 Batting Average; was 11 for 18; 1 double, 1 home run and 4 RBI's. The pitcher of the week is a freshman from Chemeketa CC - Jessical Hotaling. She had a 3-1 record with 22 innings pitched and 15 Strikeouts.
  • Baseball results vs Shoreline 4/17 - The Baseball Team hosted the Shoreline CC Dolphins in a non-league single 9 inning game on Wednesday night. The game started at 7pm at the Everett Memorial Stadium. Shoreline scored 1 run in the first inning, while it took the Trojans til the bottom of the 3rd inning to score an they scored 5 runs. In the 4th, Shoreline added on 2 more runs to make it 5-3. In the 5th, the Dolphins scored 2 while the Trojans scored 1 to make it 6-5 Trojans. The Trojans scored again in the 6th to lead by 2 runs. Shoreline scored one in the 9th, but it wasn't enough to get past the Trojans who won 7-6. This takes the Trojans to an overall record of 23-6 and the Dolphins to an overall record of 14-12. Everett's winning pitcher was Emmit Maki while the losing pitcher was Aaron Rose. Everett had 7 runs, 7 hits, 1 error and 6 RBI's; Shoreline had 6 runs, 10 hits, 1 error and 5 RBI's. For Everett - Alex Keen had a double; Christian Shouman & Brad Falk each had 2 RBI's; Keenan Forch & Tanner Romo each had an RBI. Ryan Morgan had 3 stolen bases and Jon Mercer had one stolen base.
  • Trojan Softball splits double header with Skagit 4/16 - The Cardinals of Skagit Valley College were in Everett to play a league double header with the Trojans on April 16th at the Everett Boys & Girls Club. The Cardinals with Brieanna Lopez pitching beat the Trojans with Samie Miller pitching by a score of 6-2. Skagit Valley had 6 runs, 10 hits, 2 errors and 6 RBI's while Everett had 2 runs, 5 hits, 4 errors and 2 RBI's. Erin Feeney had 2 RBI's and Minna Ward had a stolen base. During the second game, the Trojans came alive and by 1 run, beat the Cardinals 3-2. Erin Feeney was the winning pitcher and Devin Hiltz was the losing pitcher. Everett had 3 runs, 11hits, 1 error and 2 RBI's and Skagit Valley had 2 runs, 5 hits, 1 error and 2 RBI's. Dani Norsby & Molly Hoffman each had 1 RBI and Minna Ward had a stolen base.
  • Track & Field results from Ralph Vernacchia Invite 4/13 - Western Washington University hosted the 2013 Ralph Vernacchia Invite on Saturday April 13th at Civic Track in Bellingham, WA. Both of Everett's Track & Field Teams were there to compete. Everett did very well at the meet with the Men taking 6th place and the Women taking 5th place - highest NWAACC team for the Women.   • 4/20-4/21 Softball at 2013 Crossover - The Trojan Softball Team will be in Yakima, WA to participate in the 2013 NWAACC Softball Crossover Tournament hosted by Yakima Valley CC. Twenty-five of the twenty-seven NWAACC teams will be there to play in the annual crossover. The games will be played at the Gateway Sports Complex at Kiwanis Park. The Trojans will face the following teams - Saturday @ 1pm vs Pierce College, 5pm vs Centralia College; Sunday @ 9am vs Chemeketa CC, 1pm vs Southwestern Oregon CC.
    **At this years event, the tournament will be sponsoring breast cancer awareness, and accepting donations to the Wellness House. "The Wellness House is a safe place for those whose lives have been affected by the diagnosis of a life-altering illness, either personally or a loved one. This includes life-threatening illnesses like cancer. This may also include events or illnesses that are considered more “life-challenging” such as fibromyalgia and chronic pain, depression or the loss of a loved one. The Wellness House services are completely free." Teams and fans are encouraged to wear pink to the tournament in support of breast cancer awareness.
  • 4/20 & 4/21 Baseball vs Bellevue - The Trojan Baseball Team will face the Bulldogs of Bellevue College this upcoming weekend in league play. On Saturday, April 20th, the Trojans will host the double header starting at 1pm at Everett Memorial Stadium and on Sunday, April 21st, the Trojans will be on Bellevue College's campus for the double header starting at 1pm.   • 4/18-4/20 Track & Field in California - The throwers on the Men's & Women's Track & Field Team will be in California to participate in three meets over the course of three days. They will be in Los Angeles on the campus of Cal State, LA on April 18th to take part in the Cal State L.A. Twilight Open. On April 19th, they will be in Azusa, on the campuses of Azusa Pacific's East Campus & Cerritos College participating in the Bryan Clay Invitational. Then on the 19th & 20th, they will compete in the Beach Track & Field Invitational hosted by Long Beach State in Norwalk.

  • Trojan Baseball win 3 out of 4 against Edmonds 4/13 & 4/14 - Saturday, the 13th, Edmonds CC Tritons hosted the Trojans in 2 league baseball games. With a score of 3-0, the Trojans behind pitcher Gunnar Swanson won. Everett had 3 runs, 5 hits and 2 RBI's and Edmonds with losing pitcher Zach Johnson had 3 hits and 1 error. Paul Wilen had a Home Run, 1 RBI and a stolen base; Max Whitt had 1 RBI. During the second game, the Trojans had 13 hits on Tritons pitcher Connor McKeever. Pitcher Alex Koeplin and the Trojans held the Tritons to 5 hits. Everett won the second game 9-2. Everett had 9 runs, 13 hits, 2 errors and 8 RBI's and Edmonds had 2 runs, 5 hits and 1 RBI. In the first game of the day, the Tritons and their bats were wide awake compared to the Trojans. They had 11 hits off of Josh Kimborowicz while the Trojans only had 2 on winning pitcher Kevin Sheets. Edmonds won 5-0. The Tritons had 5 runs, 11 hits and 4 RBI's to the Trojans 2 hits and 2 errors. Dylan Lavelle had a double. The Trojans had a wake up call after the first game and came alive. Pitcher Jo Jo Howie and the Trojans got the win 3-1, while Mitch Viydo got the save, over the Tritons and pitcher Jimmy Schmidt. Everett had 3 runs, 8 hits and 3 RBI's and Edmonds had 1 run, 5 hits, 3 errors and 1 RBI. Keenan Forch had a double and 1 RBI; Tanner Romo & Daniel Orr each had 1 RBI; Alex Keen had a stolen base.
  • 4/13 SOFTBALL Games Postponed - Due to typical western Washington weather, the league double header that the Trojans were to host against the Dolphins of Shoreline CC today (Sat 4/13) have been postponed, as the field is unplayable because of the recent rain. The #1 team on it was Santa Rosa out or Northern California, #2 was Fullerton out of Southern California, #3 was NWAACC's Lower Columbia College. Everett CC was ranked #7.   • Softball lose two @ Douglas College 4/9 - In New Westminster, BC the Trojan Softball Team played a league double header at Douglas College Royals on April 9th. The first game was close with the Royals winning by 1 run, 5-4. Carling Hare was the winning pitcher and Samie Miller was the losing pitcher. Douglas had 5 runs, 9 hits, 3 errors and 3 RBI's and Everett had 4 runs, 8 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. Dani Norsby had a double; Samie Miller had the RBI; Logan Thomas had a stolen base and Minna Ward had 2 stolen bases. The second game was a little different than the first. There were 22 hits in this game, however, the score was in favor of the Royals 11-5. Kayla Myre was the winning pitcher while Erin Feeney was the losing pitcher. Royals had 11 runs, 17 hits and 8 RBI's while the Trojans had 5 runs, 5 hits, 2 errors and 4 RBI's. Sunday, the 7th, the Trojans were in Seattle to play the final two league games of the series at the Dolphins home field. With Trojan pitcher Josh Kimborowicz holding the Dolphins to 4 hits and Alex Koeplin getting the save, Everett was able to get the win with a score of 7-4. Layton Bush allowed 8 Trojan hits in this game. Everett had 7 runs, 8 hits, 1 error and 7 RBI's and Shoreline had 4 runs, 4 hits, 3 errors and 4 RBI's. Daniel Orr had a Home Run and 2 RBI's; Max Whitt, Tanner Romo, Alex Keen, Paul Wilen & Stockton Taylor each had 1 RBI; Dylan Lavelle had a stolen base. The fourth and final game of the series had Jo Jo Howie pitching for the Trojans and getting the win with the score 5-1. Ben Parker was the losing pitcher. On the Baseball Poll, the Trojans went from the #1 spot down to the #2 spot and Lower Columbia College switched places with the Trojans. The other two N. Region teams to make the poll are: Edmonds CC in the #6 spot & Bellevue College in the #8 spot. On the Softball Poll, Everett CC wasn't on the poll and the only N. The first game ended after 6 innings instead of the regular 7 inning game due to the Trojans being ahead 8-0. Samie Miller for Everett was the winning pitcher and Danielle Smythe was the losing pitcher for Edmonds. Everett had 8 runs, 11 hits and 4 RBI's to Edmonds 2 hits and 5 errors. For Everett: Minna Ward had a double and 1 RBI; Mindy James had a triple and 1 RBI; Kailyn Gylling had 2 RBI's and a stolen base. The second game only went 5 innings because at the end of the 5th, the Trojans were ahead again by a score of 8-0. Erin Feeney was the winning pitcher and once again Danielle Smythe was the losing pitcher. Everett had 8 runs, 9 hits and 8 RBI's while Edmonds had 3 hits. For the Trojans: Mindy James & Samie Miller each had a double and 2 RBI's; Logan Thomas had a double and 1 RBI; Kailyn Gylling had a double; Minna Ward had a Home Run, 3 RBI's and 2 stolen bases.   • Track & Field Athletes of the Week 4/4 - The Athletes of the Week for Week #5 for the Track and Field season have been released. Men's Track - Green River CC Freshman - Kyle Morriss. Men's Field - Southwestern Oregon CC Freshman - Kevin Robinson. Women's Track - EVERETT CC Freshman - Marren Haneberg. Women's Field - Lane CC Freshman - Kara Hallock. Everett's Haneberg was nominated due to her performance at the CNW Spring Break Open in the 5000m Run. She finished with a time of 18:10.00 in 2nd place. Nominators remarks were: "Great time for this event." "A huge PR performance for Marren who has been battling a calf injury all winter."
  • 4/9 Softball travels to Canada - On Tuesday, April 9th, the Trojan Softball Team will travel to Canada, to play a league double header with Douglas College in New Westminster, BC.   • Softball splits @ Olympic 4/2 - In Bremerton, WA on Tuesday, April 2nd, the Trojan Softball Team took on the Rangers of Olympic College in a league double header. In game 1, Everett pitcher Samie Miller got the win by the Trojans beating the Rangers 6-3. Olympic pitcher Andrea Walt was the losing pitcher. Trojans had 6 runs, 5 hits, 1 error and 6 RBI's to the Rangers 3 runs, 6 hits, 2 errors and 3 RBI's. For Everett: Dani Norsby had a double and 2 RBI's; Karis Monesmith had a triple and 1 RBI; Mindy James & Samie Miller each had 1 RBI; and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. In game #2, both teams combined for 16 hits, however in this game, the Rangers beat the Trojans 8-1. Olympic pitcher Andrea Walt got the win and Everett's Erin Feeney was the losing pitcher. The Rangers had 8 runs, 12 hits and 8 RBI's while the Trojans only had 1 run, 4 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. For Everett: Samie Miller had the RBI.

In the first game, Everett's Josh Kimborowicz was the winning pitcher as the Trojans won 4-1. Shimpie Sato was the losing pitcher. Everett had 4 runs, 6 hits and 4 RBI's while Skagit had 1 run, 2 hits, 1 error and 1 RBI. For Everett, Dylan Lavelle, Daniel Orr, Brad Falk and Alex Keen each had an RBI. The second game was a close game and with a 1-0 score, the Cardinals won. Nick Rothermel was the winning pitcher and Gunnar Swanson was the losing pitcher. Skagit had 1 run, 3 hits, 1 error and 1 RBI with Everett having 3 hits and 1 error. Paul Wilen had 2 stolen bases and Max Whitt & Brad Falk each had one stolen base. Saturday afternoon, the Trojans hosted the Cardinals for two more league games. Saturday was definitely the Trojans day. They shut out the Cardinals in the first game 8-0. Everett had 8 runs, 8 hits, and 8 RBI's while the Cardinals had 3 hits, and 1 error. Jo Jo Howie was the winning pitcher for the Trojans and Peter Irvin was the losing pitcher. Dylan Lavelle had a double and an RBI; Brad Falk had a double; Stockton Taylor & Paul Sitkowski each had 2 RBI's and Daniel Orr had an RBI. In the second game of the day, the Trojans barely out hit the Cardinals but they did out score them to win 10-4. Everett had 10 runs, 10 hits, 1 error and 9 RBI's and Skagit had 4 runs, 9 hits, 1 error and 4 RBI's. Aaron Hatch was the winning pitcher and the losing pitcher was not reported.   • Softball lose league openers to Bellevue 3/26 - The first games of the 2013 league season started with the Trojans hosting the Bulldogs of Bellevue College on Tuesday, March 26th. With these games, you can tell why the Bulldogs are the #3 team in the NWAACC. They not only out hit the Trojans but they also out scored. In the first game, the Trojans were unable to score and the Bulldogs scored 9. The winning pitcher for Bellevue was Brielle Bray and the losing pitcher for Everett was Samie Miller. Bellevue had 9 runs, 13 hits, 1 error and 8 RBI's and Everett had 3 hits and 2 errors. In the second game, the Trojans were able to get 2 runs across home plate, however, it wasn't enough to get past the Bulldogs, as they scored 9 again. Bellevue's winning pitcher was Hannah Sauget and Everett's losing pitcher was Molly Hoffman. Bellevue had 9 runs, 13 hits, 1 error and 6 RBI's to Everett's 2 runs, 7 hits, 1 error and 2 RBI's. For this game, Everett players had the following stats: Minna Ward had a double and a stolen base; Mindy James & Samie Miller each had 1 RBI; Logan Thomas & Molly Hoffman each had a stolen base. Everett's league record is 0-2 and overall record is 8-8.
  • 3/29 & 3/30 Baseball plays Skagit Valley College - The 2013 League season starts for baseball with the Trojans playing the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College on Friday & Saturday March 29th & 30th. They will play a double header each day, with the first game being a 7 inning game and the second game being a 9 inning game. On Friday, the first game will begin at 5:00pm and the second will start about 30 min. after the end of the first. On Saturday the first game start at 1:00pm and the second to start about 30 minutes after the end of the first. Friday, 3/29 the Trojans will be in Mt. Vernon, WA at the Dream Field on the campus of Skagit Valley College and on Saturday, 3/30 the Trojans will host the Cardinals at Everett Memorial Stadium.
  • 3/30 Track & Field at CNW Spring Break Open - The Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams will be in Seattle, WA participating in the CNW Spring Break Open. This is an all day event. 
  • 2013 Spring Invite Baseball results day 2 3/24 - The games for the Trojans on March 24th, were played at Tacoma CC. They faced the Lakers of SWOCC again for the first game of the day. It seemed like a copycat of their game on 3/23, as the score was the same with Everett winning 13-2. Everett had 13 runs, 16 hits, and 7 RBI's with SWOCC having 2 runs, 7hits, 7 errors and 2 RBI's. Ryan Larivee was the winning pitcher and Trevor Roberts was the losing pitcher. Dylan Lavelle had 2 doubles; Max Whitt had a double; Alex Keen, Corbin Duffy, Christian Shouman each had an RBI; Paul Sitkowski & Keenan Forch each had an RBI and stolen base. The second game for the Trojans was against the Titans of Tacoma CC. While there were a lot of hits (16), neithe team scored that many runs. Tacoma CC won the game 3-2. Ryan Skoubo was the winning pitcher and Alex Koeplin was the losing pitcher. Titans had 3 runs, 10 hits and 3 RBI's, while the Trojans had 2 runs, 6 hits and 2 RBI's. Paul Sitkowski had a double and 2 RBI's and Corbin Duffy had a double.
  • Baseball results from 2013 Spring Invite 3/23 - The Trojan Baseball games on March 23rd were played at Mt. Tahoma High School. Their first game was against the Raiders of Pierce College. In this game, Everett and Pierce both hit very well - 27 hits between them. The Trojans won the game 12-7, with 12 runs, 15 hits, 1 error and 11 RBI's to the Raiders 7 runs, 12 hits and 7b RBI's. Jordan Kynaston was the winning pitcher and Levi Goodin was the losing pitcher. For Everett - Rob Ingram had a double; Tanner Romo had a double and 2 RBI's; Stockton Taylor had 3 RBI's; Paul Sitkowski had an RBI and a stolen base; Daniel Orr had 2 RBI's and a stolen base; Max Whitt, Brad Falk and Keenan Forch each had an RBI. The Trojans second game was with the Lakers of Southwestern Oregon CC (SWOCC). This game had the Trojans dominating the Lakers and easily winning 13-2. Aaron Hatch recorded the win and Ryohei Kono recorded the loss as pitchers. Everett had 13 runs, 15 hits, 3 errors and 6 RBI's and SWOCC had 2 runs, 4 hits, 16 errors and 1 RBI. Tanner Romo and Corbin Duffy each had a double and an RBI; Daniel Orr had a triple and 2 RBI's; Max Whitt and Jon Mercer each had an RBI.

  • 3/26 Softball starts league vs Bellevue College - Tuesday, March 26th is the start of the 2013 league season for the softball team. They will host the Bulldogs of Bellevue College in a double header. The first game will begin at 2:00pm with the second game to follow approximately 30 minutes after the end of the first. Games will be played at the Everett Boys & Girls Club located at 2316-12th St. Admission is free to all.
  • NWAACC Baseball & Softball Coaches Polls 3/20 - NWAACC released the most current Coaches Polls for Men's Baseball and Women's Softball on 3/20/13. On the Baseball Poll, Everett CC held onto to it's #1 spot from the initial poll and the other Northern Region team on the top 8 - Bellevue College moved up from the 4th spot to the 3rd spot. Edmonds CC did receive votes. On the Softball Poll, Mt. Hood CC moved up two spots to take the #1 spot from the initial #1 Clackamas CC who moved down to #3.   • Track results from U of Oregon Preview 3/16 - The qualifiers on the Men's & Women's Track & Field Teams were in Eugene, OR on the campus of the University of Oregon to participate in the U of O Preview on Saturday, March 16th. The Men had Mitch Beard finish the 1500m run in 28th place with a time of 4:11.51. For the Women, Brenna Eldridge finished in 3rd place in the 2000m Steeplechase with at time of 8:04.83; and Rachel Cundy finished in 17th place with a time of 10:31.92 in the 3000m run.
  • Softball results from non-league games in Eastern Washington 3/15-3/17 - The Trojan Softball Team was in Eastern Washington to play 6 non-league games over March 15th - 17th. On the 15th, they were in Walla Walla, WA on the campus of Walla Walla CC to play the Timberwolves of Blue Mountain CC. In their first game, the Trojans out hit and outscored the Timberwolves to win the game by five 8-3. Samie Miller was the winning pitcher and Shelbee Wells was the losing pitcher. Everett had 8 runs, 10 hits, 2 errors and 8 RBI's and Blue Mountain had 3 runs, 7 hits, 3 errors and 2 RBI's. Samie Miller had a double and 3 RBI's; Dani Norsby had a double and 2 RBI's; Mindy James had 1 RBI and a stolen base; Minna Ward & Karis Monesmith each had 1 RBI. In the second game with BMCC, hitting wise, the Timberwolves had more hits, however the Trojans still outscored them to win 16-7. Everett had 16 runs, 10 hits, 2 errors, 10 RBI's and Molly Hoffman was the winning pitcher. Blue Mountain had 7 runs, 12 hits, 9 errors, 7 RBI's and Joscelyn Park was the losing pitcher. For Everett: Samie Miller had a double and 3 RBI's; Karis Monesmith had a double and a stolen base; Carmen Parker had 1 RBI and a stolen base; Kailynn Gylling had 3 RBI's; Kaitlynn Botten had 2 RBI's; Mindy James had 1 RBI; Logan Thomas & Minna Ward each had a stolen base. On Saturday, March 16th, the Trojans were in Pasco, WA to play Columbia Basin College Hawks for two games. Unfortunately, both of these games were all Hawks. They out hit and outscored the Trojans in both games. In the first the Hawks with Brenda Rodriguez pitching beat the Trojans 10-2 with Samie Miller pitching. CBC had 10 runs, 14 hits, 1 error and 10 RBI's. EvCC had 2 runs, 6 hits and 2 RBI's. Samie Miller had 1 RBI. In the second game, CBC and pitcher Gabby Meza beat the Trojans and pitcher Molly Hoffman again with the score of 10-2. Hawks had 10 runs, 12 hits and 10 RBI's to the Trojans 2 runs, 2 hits, 2 errors and 2 RBI's. Minna Ward had a Home Run and 2 RBI's. Sunday morning, March 17th, the Trojans were back in Walla Walla, WA, this time to play the Warriors of Walla Walla CC in two games. Both of these games were hit-fests! In the first game there were 51 hits between the two teams. Everett out hit and outscored the Warriors to win the game with Samie Miller pitching 27-18. Everett had 27 runs, 29 runs, 1 error and 25 RBI's. Walla Walla with Kaitlin Erm pitching had 18 runs, 22 hits, 3 errors and 12 RBI's. Samie Miller had a double, Home Run and 5 RBI's; Dani Norsby had a double and 1 RBI; Kaitlynn Botten had a triple and 2 RBI's; Mindy James had a Home Run and 7 RBI's; Logan Thomas, Minna Ward & Molly Hoffman each had 3 RBI's; Kailyn Gylling had 2 RBI's and Carmen Parker had 2 stolen bases. The second game with WWCC had 33 hits. Everett once again out hit and outscored Walla Walla to get the win with Molly Hoffman pitching 13-7. EvCC had 13 runs, 18 hits and 7 RBI's while WWCC with Kaitlin Erm pitching had 7 runs, 15 hits, 1 error and 5 RBI's. Mindy James had a double; Karis Monesmith had a double and 1 RBI; Samie Miller had a Home Run and 3 RBI's; Dani Norsby, Kailynn Gylling & Carmen Parker each had 1 RBI; Logan Thomas & Minna Ward each had a stolen base. Everett is now 8-6 overall.
  • 3/23 & 3/24 Baseball participating in TCC/Pierce Spring Invite - The Trojan Baseball Team will travel to the Tacoma/Lakewood area on Saturday and Sunday March 23 & 24 to participate in the 2013 Spring Invite hosted by Tacoma CC & Pierce College. On Saturday, they will play Pierce College at 10am and at 1pm they will play Southwestern Oregon CC. Both of these games will be played at Mt. Tahoma High School. Sunday afternoon, the Trojans will play Southwestern Oregon CC at 1pm and then play Tacoma CC at 4pm. Both of Sunday's games will be played at Tacoma CC.   • Baseball results from day 2 in Wenatchee 3/16 - The games in Wenatchee, WA on the 15th & 16th was a hit fest. There were 21 hits in the first game, 16 hits in the second, 18 hits in the third and 27 hits in the fourth. In the first game of the day, the Trojans had a great game, winning by ten, 13-3. Gunnar Swanson was the winning pitcher and Kody Graham was the losing pitcher. Evertt had 13 runs, 12 hits, 3 errors, and 12 RBI's; Wenatchee Valley had 3 runs, 6 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. Doubles for Everett: Stockton Taylor had 2 and Daniel Orr, Rob Ingram, Christian Shouman, Tanner Romo, Brad Monson each had one. Triple - Keenan Forch. Home Run - Brad Falk. RBI's - Brad Falk with 3, Keenan Forch & Stockton Taylor with 2 each, and Paul Sitkowski, Daniel Orr, Rob Ingram, Christian Shouman & Tanner Romo each had one. Stolen Base - Paul Sitkowski.The second game was a very close game with the end result being a 1 run difference. In this game, Wenatchee won 10-9. Their winning pitcher was Jake Valdez and Dylan Lavelle is the losing pitcher. The Knights had 10 runs, 15 hits, 4 errors and 10 RBI's and the Trojans had 9 runs, 12 hits, 2 errors and 8 RBI's.   • Baseball results from Wenatchee day 1 3/15 - With the EvCC Baseball Tournament moving to Wenatchee, WA, the tournament now became 4 games vs Wenatchee Valley College. On March 15, in the first game, the Trojans and the Knights both played well with a total of 21 hits between the two. Everett won the game 7-4, the winning pitcher was Ryan Larivee, Jordan Kynaston got the save and Nick Laszio was the losing pitcher. Everett had 7 runs, 10 hits and 7 RBI's. Wenatchee had 4 runs, 11 hits, 3 errors and 4 RBI's. Max Whitt had a double; Stockton Taylor had a double and 3 RBI's; Paul Sitkowski had a triple; Daniel Orr had 2 RBI's and Keenan Forch & Ryan Morgan each had an RBI. In the second game, there were a total of 16 hits, however, Wenatchee Valley won this game 5-3. Mitch Yada was the winning pitcher with Jake Valdez getting the save, while Alex Koeplin was the losing pitcher for Everett. Wenatchee Valley had 5 runs, 10 hits, and 4 RBI's. Everett had 3 runs, 6 hits, 1 error and 2 RBI's. Corbin Duffy had a double; Brad Falk had a triple, 2 RBI's and a stolen base.
  • EvCC Baseball Tournament moved to Wenatchee - The tournament that was to be hosted by Everett CC on March 15-17, has been moved to Wenatchee Valley College in Wenatchee, WA due to EvCC's home field - Everett Memorial Stadium being unplayable.   • ABCA Baseball Poll 3/12 - The American Baseball Coaches Association - Junior Collee Pacific Association Division poll was released on March 12th. There were 6 NWAACC teams that made the 25 with two in the top 10. Everett CC was the highest NWAACC school taking the #3 spot below #1 Santa Rosa (NorCal) and #2 Santa Ana (SoCal). Mt.   • 3/15-3/17 EvCC hosts Everett CC Baseball Tournament - Wenatchee Valley College and Vancouver Island University will be in town this upcoming weekend to play in the Everett CC Tournament. On Friday, the Trojans will play Wenatchee Valley College at 7pm. Saturday afternoon starts with the Trojans once again facing the Knights of Wenatchee Valley College at 12pm and then at 3:30pm, the Knights will play Vancouver Island, with the Trojans facing Vancouver Island at 7pm. At 12pm on Sunday, the Trojans will play Wenatchee Valley again and then at 3:30pm they will play Vancouver Island. All games will be played at the Everett Memorial Stadium located at 3802 Broadway.
  • 3/15-3/17 Trojan Softball in Eastern WA - The Softball Team will travel to Walla Walla, WA to play the Timberwolves of Blue Mountain CC at Walla Walla CC on Friday, March 15th.   • Softball results from Arizona trip 3/5-3/10 - The Trojan Softball Team was in Arizona to play some non-league games with Gateway College (3/7), Scotsdale CC (3/8) and Phoenix CC (3/9). Unfortunately, due to the weather, the games with Scotsdale CC were rained out and cancelled. The games with Gateway College were played on March 7th. In the first game there were 26 hits between the two teams, and even though Gateway had more hits, Everett was able to out score them and win 13-9. Everett had 13 runs, 11 hits, 2 errors and 10 RBI's and Gateway had 9 runs, 15 hits, 7 errors and 6 RBI's. Samie Miller for Everett was the winning pitcher and Kenna Obtea was the losing pitcher. For Everett: Logan Thomas had a triple and 2 RBI's; Monica Clow had a double and 1 RBI; Minna Ward had a double and 2 RBI's; Karis Monesmith had a double; Rachel Backlund had 2 RBI's; Samie Miller, Molly Hoffman & Kailynn Gylling each had an RBI. In the second game with Gateway, was a much closer game, in fact a 1 run game. Luckily, Everett came out on top winning the game 8-7. Everett's Monica Clow was the winning pitcher and Samantha Ansell was the losing pitcher. Everett had 8 runs, 9 hits and 6 RBI's and Gateway had 7 runs, 11 hits, 2 errors and 7 RBI's. For Everett: Logan Thomas had a triple, 3 RBI's and a stolen base; Rachel Backlund had 2 RBI's; Samie Miller had an RBI; and Minna Ward had a stolen base. On March 9th, Everett faced Phoenix CC. Unfortunately for the Trojans, Phoenix out hit and out scored them in both games. In the first game, Phoenix won 6-2 with Koponen getting the win and Samie Miller getting the loss. Phoenix had 6 runs, 13 hits and 5 RBI's to Everett's 2 runs, 7 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. For Everett: Mindy James had a double and Samie Miller had the RBI. In the second game, the score was worse for the Trojans with Phoenix winning 12-2. Phoenix had 12 runs, 13 hits, 9 RBI's and Roessing getting the win to Everett's 2 runs, 5 hits, 1 error, 2 RBI's and Samie Miller getting the loss. Samie Miller had 2 doubles and an RBI; Mindy James had an RBI. The Trojans are now 4-4 overall in the season.
  • Baseball results from day two WVC Tournament 3/10 - The first game of their second day at the Wenatchee Valley College Tournament, had the Trojans facing the Cardinals of Skagit Valley College. In a pretty close game, the Trojans weren't able to get past the Cardinals. Skagit Valley won 4-0. They had 4 runs, 9 hits, 2 errors and 4 RBI's. Everett had 5 hits and 2 errors. Shayne Honcoop was the winning pitcher and Aaron Hatch was the losing pitcher. For Everett, Christian Shouman had a double and a stolen base. In their second game, Everett faced the host again and while the Knights scored this game, they weren't able to outscore the Trojans. Everett won 6-3.   • 2013 NWAACC Basketball Sophomore All-Star Games results 3/10 - Everett CC hosted the 2013 NWAACC Basketball Sophomore All-Star Event on Sunday March 10th. The first game at 11am was the East Women vs the South Women. The East won 67-61. Game Highs: East - Allie Winters (Big Bend CC) 14 points; Kassy Larson (Wenatchee Valley College) 10 points & 8 rebounds. South - Kersey Wilcox (Lane CC) 10 points, 9 rebounds & 6 assists; Ashleigh Anderson (Clackamas CC) 9 points. In the 12:30pm game, the North Women played the West Women. In the closest game of the day, the North won 81-79. Game Highs: North - Sophia Baetz (Skagit Valley College) 19 points; Jesse Ellis (Peninsula College) 18 points & 10 rebounds; Jasmine Yarde (Peninsula College) 12 points & 4 steals; Ericka Locker (Whatcom CC) 10 points & 9 rebounds.   • 1st Baseball NWAACC Coaches Poll 3/8 - On Friday, March 8th, the first coaches poll of the 2013 baseball season was released by the NWAACC. Everett CC holds the #1 spot for the first time in a long time! The only other Nothern Region team in the top 8 is Bellevue in the #4 spot.   • 2013 NWAACC Basketball All-Tournament Teams - With the conclusion of the 2013 NWAACC Men's & Women's Basketball Championship Tournament, the All-Tournament Teams have been released. They were announced at the tournament after each respective championship game.   • 2013 NWAACC Basketball Championship Final Results - The Championship Games of the 2012-13 NWAACC Championship Tournament that took place in Kennewick, WA at the Toyota Center took place on March 5th. The Women's game was at 5:30pm and was between two Southern Region teams - Lane CC and Clackamas CC. The Men's game was at 8pm and was between Chemeketa CC from the Southern Region and Edmonds CC from the Northern Region. Women's Champion Lane CC (won 51-49); 2nd Clackamas CC; 3rd Skagit Valley College; 4th Chemeketa CC; 5th Bellevue College; 6th Clark College; 7th Columbia Basin College; 8th Southwestern Oregon CC; Participants: Walla Walla CC, Centralia College, Tacoma CC, Yakima Valley CC, Peninsula College, Lower Columbia College, CC's of Spokane, Whatcom CC.   • Men's Basketball takes 5th in NWAACC's 3/5 - In their final game at the 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament, the Trojans faced the Titans of Tacoma CC at 12pm on March 5th. This was the third time facing the Titans - they split in their two non-league games earlier in the season. The first half was close from the beginning. The score at half time was Everett 30 and Tacoma 29. Throughout the whole game there were 8 ties and 15 lead changes. The largest lead was only 10 points. The score at the end of the game was a difference of 8 points. With the score of 70 points, Everett won the game to take 5th place and Tacoma scored 62 points to take 6th place. After the end of the game, Tacoma was presented with the 6th place trophy and then Everet was presented with the 5th place trophy. Everett shot 32.9% (23/70) from the field, 19.2% (5/26) from 3 point range and 73.1% (19/26) free throw. Tacoma shot 38.3% (23/60) from the field, 30% (3/10) from 3 point range, 61.9% (13/21) free throw. Game Highs: Everett: Rashad Jones, Connor Donaldson & Flynn Mattson each with 11 points; Jarrell Banks 10 points & 13 rebounds; Landy James 10 points; David Ware 7 rebounds & 7 assists.   • 3/9-3/10 Baseball @ WVC Tournament - March 9th & 10th, the Trojan Baseball Team will be in Wenatchee, WA to participate in the Wenatchee Valley College Tournament. They will play Wenatchee Valley at 7pm after playing Okanogan at 1pm on Saturday and then on Sunday they will play Skagit Valley College at 1pm and once again Wenatchee Valley College at 7pm.   • 3/10 EvCC hosts 2013 NWAACC Sophomore All-Star Event - On Sunday, March 10th, Everett CC will be the host of the 2013 NWAACC Men's & Women's Basketball Sophomore All-Star Event. There will be four games starting with the South Women taking on the East Women at 11am, followed by the North Women taking on the West Women at 12:30pm. The South Men face the East Men at 2pm and the North Men face the West Men at 3:30pm. Everett's Erin Feeney will play on the North Women's team while Everett's Connor Donaldson and Flynn Mattson will play on the North Men's team. Admission is $7.00 per person
  • Men's Basketball 3rd game @ NWAACC's 3/4 - With their loss to CC's of Spokane on 3/3, the Trojan Men's Basketball Team played the Cougars of Clackamas CC at 4:00pm in the Toyota Center in Kennewick, WA on 3/4. The loser of this game goes home and the winner moves onto the game for 5th & 6th places at 12pm on 3/5 against Tacoma CC, who already beat Whatcom to advance. In the first half, the Trojans took 50 shots to the Cougars 21 and outscored them 51-33. In the second half, the Cougars tied to come back, but unfortunately for them, they weren't able to get past the point deficit from the first half and the Trojans won 90-73. They will now face Tacoma for the third time this season. Everett shot 36.6% (30/82) from the field, 27.3% (9/33) 3 point range and 70% (21/30) free throw and Clackamas shot 39.7% (23/58) from the field, 23.8% (5/21) 3 point range and 84.6% (22/26) free throw.   • Softball results 3/3 Pre-season Tournament - On day two of the 2013 Pre-season tournament hosted by Walla Walla CC in Richland, WA, the Trojans first faced the Yaks of Yakima Valley CC. In this game, the Yaks were just too much for the Trojans to get past. They won 9-7. Yakima's winning pitcher was Josie Saldua and the losing pitcher for Everett was Samie Miller. Yakima had 9 runs, 12 hits, 2 errors and 7 RBI's while Everett had 7 runs, 8 hits, 5 errors and 6 RBI's. For Everett - Rachel Backlund had a double and a stolen base; Kailynn Gylling had a double and RBI; Molly Hoffman had a double; Samie Miller had a Home Run and 2 RBI's; Dani Norsby had an RBI; Karis Monesmith had an RBI and a stolen base and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. The second game of the day for the Trojans was against the Sasquatch from the Community College's of Spokane. This game had a different outcome for Everett. They beat the Sasquatch 9-6. Monica Clow was the winning pitcher for Everett and Lindsey Walchli was Spokane's losing pitcher. Everett had 9 runs, 12 hits, 1 error and 8 RBI's, while Spokane had 6 runs, 9 hits, 3 errors and 6 RBI's. Dani Norsby & Minna Ward each had one double and two RBI's; Rachel Backlund had a triple and an RBI; Monica Clow had an RBI and Samie Mille had a Home Run and two RBI's. The Trojans are now 2-2 overall.
  • Baseball results from day 2 at Bill Faller Invite 3/3 - Today, the Trojans had the 12pm game against Vancouver Island University for their first game of the day. This game was a landslide win for the Trojans, winning 22-0. Winning pitcher was Aaron Hatch and Hawkins was the losing pitcher. Everett had 22 runs, 22 hits, 0 errors, 20 RBI's. Vancouver had 0 runs, 2 hits, and 5 errors. Dylan Lavelle had a double, an RBI and a stolen base; Corbin Duffy had 2 doubles, 3 RBI's and a stolen base; Alex Keen had a triple and 3 RBI's; Tanner Romo & Max Whitt each had 2 RBI's; Brad Falk had an RBI and 2 stolen bases; Brad Monson & Jon Mercer each had 3 RBI's; and Keenan Forch & Ryan Morgan each had an RBI. The second game for the Trojans today was at 6pm vs the host team - Yakima Valley CC. This was a close game, with the Trojans beating the Yaks by 1 run - 4-3. Gunnar Swanson for Everett was the winning pitcher and the save goes to Jordan Kynaston. The losing pitcher was Jayce Nelson. Everett had 4 runs, 9 hits, 5 errors and 4 RBI's. Yakima Valley had 3 runs, 10 hits, 2 errors and 1 RBI. Dylan Lavelle had two doubles and an RBI; Daniel Orr had a double and 2 RBI's; Max Whitt had a double and Brad Falk had an RBI. Everett is now 4-0 overall for the season.
  • Men's Basketball 2nd game @ NWAACC's 3/3 - In the 6pm game on the second day of the 2013 NWAACC Championship Tournament, the Trojans faced the Sasquatch of the Community College's of Spokane. The first half was all Spokane as they held a commanding lead going into half time - 43-27. The largest lead was 23 points when the score was 43-20 right before halftime. In the second half, the Trojans came alive to score 51 points to the 45 points of Spokane, however it wasn't enough to make up for the first half score. Spokane won 88-78 and advances on the winner's side of the bracket to play Edmonds CC at 8pm tomorrow (3/4). The Trojans are now in the loser out bracket and one more loss will send them home, they will play Clackamas CC tomorrow (3/4) at 4pm. For this game Everett shot from the field 33.3% (32/96); from 3 point 19.4% (7/36) and from free throw 58.3% (7/12); Spokane was 45.8% (27/59) from the field, 45.8% (11/24) 3 point range and 79.3% (23/29) from free throws. In their second game of the day, the Trojans played the Knights of Wenatchee Valley College. This unfortunately had a different result than the first. The Knights won 6-1. The winning pitcher was Kirstie Thomas and the losing pitcher was Monica Clow. Wenatchee had 6 runs, 10 hits, 2 errors and 6 RBI's. Everett had 1 run, 5 hits, 5 errors and 1 RBI. For Everett, Rachel Backlund had a double, Dani Norsby had the RBI and Logan Thomas had a stolen base. The Trojans are now 1-1 overall.
  • Baseball results from Bill Faller Invite 3/2 - The Baseball Team is in Yakima, WA to participate in the two day Bill Faller Invitational hosted by Yakima Valley CC. The Trojans faced the Gators of Green River CC at 10am. In a one-sided game, the Trojans beat the Gators 9-0. The winning pitcher was Jo Jo Howie and the losing pitcher was Nick Keller. Everett had 9 runs, 8 hits, 0 errors and 8 RBI's. Green River had 0 runs, 3 hits, 1 error and 0 RBI's. Everett's Paul Sitkowski had a double and 3 RBI's; Max Whitt had a double, a triple and 1 RBI; Stockton Taylor had a double and an RBI; Dylan Lavelle had an RBI; and Daniel Orr had a stolen base and an RBI. In the Trojans second game that started at 4pm against Vancouver Island University, the Trojans held them to only 2 runs while they scored 10. Alex Koeplin got the win for the Trojans. Everett had 10 runs, 12 hits, 3 errors and 10 RBI's, Vancouver had 2 runs, 5 hits, 3 errors and 0 RBI's. Everett's Christian Shouman had a double and 2 RBI's; Ryan Morgan, Brad Falk, Mitch Viydo and Corbin Duffy each had an RBI; Stockton Taylor and Keenan Forch each had 2 RBI's; Paul Sitkowski and Max Whitt each had a stolen base.   • Men's Basketball 1st game @ NWAACC's 3/2 - The Men's Basketball Team faced the Raiders of Pierce College at 8pm in their first game at the 2013 NWAACC Basketball Championship Tournament in Kennewick, WA. The Raiders were the #1 team from the West Region, while the Trojans were the #4 team from the North Region. As soon as the tip was thrown up, the Trojans were on a mission to prove they deserved to be there. In the first half, the Trojans scored 49 points and held the Raiders to 38. After 3 lead changes and 2 ties, the Trojans won the game 89-80 to advance on the winners side of the bracket. For the game, Everett was 30/55 (54.5%) from the field, 11/21 (52.4%) three point range and 18/30 (60%) free throw while Pierce was 27/67 (40.3%) from the field, 11/30 (36.7%) three point range and 15/25 (60%) free throw. The Trojans will face the CC's of Spokane Sasquatch at 6pm tomorrow (March 3rd) and Pierce will play in a loser out game at 10pm vs Southwestern Oregon CC.   • Inital NWAACC Softball Coaches Poll 3/1 - The NWAACC released the first coaches poll for the 2013 softball season. Everett CC did not make the top 8, nor did they receive any votes. Clackamas CC took the top spot and the only team from the Northern Region to make the top 8 was Bellevue College in the #4 spot. Shoreline CC & Douglas College, from the North did receive votes.
