Advising for NEW Running Start Students

All other new students...

In most cases, students will have an Entry Advising block on their registration and are required to meet with an advisor in the Entry Advising Center.  Students in specific programs complete the entry advising requirement directly with faculty who teach in that program.

Before you are ready for Entry Advising, you will need to:

  1. Have a ctcLink ID Number (you get this after you have applied to the college)
  2. Receive placement
    • New students can get the required course placement by taking the Accuplacer Placement Test or by submitting the Placement Form Acrobat PDF Reader Icon with the required documentation. Please allow 5 business days for processing.
  3. We also recommend you check out the helpful video below:
  4. What if I don't know what I want to study?
    • No need to worry! We have resources to help you explore. Click on our Career Coach site for more information on how to find a pathway and program that works for you.

Once you complete these steps, join us via Zoom or in-person to meet with an advisor:

Advising for Current Students

Meet with your faculty program advisor to check in and stay on track for degree completion. Program Advisors are here to help you plan your next quarter's classes and beyond.

Look up your program advisor by logging into Starfish and clicking "My Success Network."  Contact a program advisor through Starfish or by using the faculty directory. If you do not find a program advisor in your network, email advising@everettcc.edu.

Your program advisor can help you with the following:

  • Create a quarter-by-quarter plan for the degree or certificate you wish to complete
  • Talk about your major and career possibilities
  • Select classes
  • Stay on track to graduate!

If you are considering changing your program, you can explore your options using the Career Coach site and scheduling a career counseling appointment through our  Counseling and Student Success.
