Voter Misinformation and Suppression Panel Online Discussion

Everett Community College is hosting an online panel discussion about voter misinformation and suppression in the United States, including one of the nation’s leading election security expert. 

Speakers will discuss how mail-in voting is secure in Washington state, debunk voting misinformation and discuss past and present methods used in voter suppression. 

This event is part of the EvCC Trojans Vote initiative with the end goal of providing voter education to students, staff, faculty and community members.

Panelist include:

Maggie MacAlpine, election security expert, DEF CON Voting Village co-organizer and featured in HBO’s “Kill Chain (Links to an external site.)”
Dennis Skarr, EvCC Computer Information Systems instructor and former Washington State National Guard member
Janice Greene, president of NAACP Snohomish County
Alisha King, Founder of the IAEM Emerging Tech Caucus
Garth Fell, Snohomish County Auditor
