Pat Smith

BIOGRAPHY

After a long working career, not in the arts, Pat discovered her creative side. After much trial and error, it blossomed. She found her visual voice.

Pat likes to repurpose materials to work on, whether it is canvas, wood, or whatever she can use. The layering of paint on old music or old pages gives a sense of history, mystery, and a link to the past.

If a viewer is moved by one of her paintings, then a connection is made and descriptive words fall short in relating her intent. But ultimately, Pat hopes the viewer will absorb what she felt as she painted.
