"Under the Spell of Nature"

by Kraig Ballard

This is a piece of my poetry. I use my writing to speak to the nature of humans and how we interact with the world around us.

Under the Spell of Nature

Ash mourn And fallen trees Waves of wind and cypress schemes, Streams of ice And browning leaves Dying is the Earth disease.

Termites feast And friendships killed The streams, they fill with sap that spilt, Flowers bloom, But then they wilt Upon the graves of nature built.

Of tragedy, There is no dearth Rotting brings life back to Earth, Death always claims Our things of worth While winds of change smell of rebirth.
