Baucis and Philemon illustrates a scene from a Greek myth with the same name. The myth tells the story of an elderly couple who unknowingly do a good deed for the gods. They are offered a reward in return and the pair ask to die together, since neither wish to live without the other. When their time comes a few years later, they are transformed into trees, twining together as they embrace for the last time. Done in Drawing 3, last spring quarter.
