I took this series of photos of my Son, Lennon who was six months old at the time. He was just starting to work on mastering crawling. I wanted to capture these fleeting moments, as time is just so short, and babies just don't keep.
Photographed in Suzallo Library. This photo captures the moment when the princess and fairy godmother is preparing to run up the stairs and escape to Wonderland. The light at the top gives them a glimmer of hope to get out of a dark and chaotic reality. Even though the dark shadows hold them back, the highlight of the stairs guides them to happiness.
This pieces was created as part of a Photo 110 assignment demonstrating the usage of F-stop and exposure time to create visual motion in photography. During this time, I became proficient in the knowledge of the integral settings and features that assisted in my framing and composing of photographs and images that'll assist in my career field of Graphic and Web Design.
This was a photography assignment to create still life with round and cornered objects. I took some inspiration from renaissance paintings in order for this to come to life. I had a lot of fun creating this image because I got good feedback from my peers and my photography teacher.
Currently as an art student at EvCC, this photo is one of my photography assignments that challenged us to properly capture some images of glass. I love the result of the process I had to go through to make this image, and it excites me to continue making more work!
Life is one way. We cannot go back to the past. We are just trying to live in the hustle and bustle like the cars in this photo speeding toward the future.
My photos are of the local Tulip Festival. I went there to take pictures of the flowers with my sister but as the morning progressed I noticed I had hundreds of people posing for me in a beautiful setting. The pictures capture a piece of our local community & nature. And while it may seem like I saturated the colors of the flowers- fact is they were just that pretty & bright.
A photography taken at the end of July last year (2022). I was in Seattle for the Pokémon Go Fest event, and decided to take some pictures afterwards. I had started in the Olympic Sculpture Park, and paused upon the stairs leading down to the waterfront to snap this photo. The angles and lines of the city, the coal filling the trains' cars, and the orange brick building are what captured my attention that afternoon.
In my photo 111 class we were playing with light and shadow and I made this photo with that in mind. At night I illuminated the flowers from below so that it would bring out the textures in the pedals. And with the black and white filter, the flower sort of looked like it would in an X-ray.
I balanced some rocks at a cove in the Chuckanut area. These took ~15 minutes to stack. The scenery provided great framing and supporting interest for the rocks. I used a telephoto lens to magnify the small island in the back to help frame and balance the image. I would have preferred a nicer time of day, but you can't always get what you want!
A photo inspired by a work of music with the same title, "The Skin" by Pretty Balanced.
"Taste the Rainbow" is a six-image series, the one I used for my final. It's a spin on "tasting the rainbow," but replacing Skittles with healthier options - fruits (in primary colors) and vegetables (in secondary colors). The model's nail polish was painstakingly edited in Lightroom to match the color of the produce, creating a monochromatic scheme within each frame. Changing my relationship with food (especially candy and sugary foods) over the years has made a huge impact in my mental and physical health, this series taps into that transformation.
