When do I register for my classes?

New students, who have not taken any classes at EvCC, or those who have not taken classes in the last 3 quarters can register on or after the open registration date as listed on the Calendar (click to open).
Students who have taken classes at EvCC within the last four quarters are given an enrollment date. Assigned enrollment dates can be found in the "Manage Classes" tile on the ctcLink Student Homepage. Check out the Calendar (click to open) for the timeframe form enrollment dates set for each quarter.

How do I get the hold(s) removed from my account?

Registration holds are placed on student accounts by various departments for various tasks. In order to have the hold removed, you need to complete the required tasks. In the “Tasks” tile on the ctcLink Student Homepage, existing holds will be listed with information on how to complete them.

How do I get instructor permission?

Instructor permission and permission codes are provided by the instructor of the class. You can look up your instructor's email address under Directory (click to open). How do I view my placement information on ctcLink?

On your ctcLink Student Homepage (click to open), click on the Academic Records tile and then click on View My Milestones. Your placement for English and Math is under the Milestone column. The Status column indicates your completion of the class and not the status of your placement.

Do I have to take a placement test?

If you have previously tested and have completed your college-level algebra and English composition, you do not need to test. If you have tested and never taken classes, test scores are valid for two years. You can view your test scores online via ctcLink or email testing@everettcc.edu for more information. If you are still unsure, speaking with an advisor is highly recommended.

I tested at another institution. Will EvCC accept those scores?

EvCC will generally accept test scores from another institution as long as they test was taken in the last two years. EvCC administers the Accuplacer test but will review scores for Asset. Be aware that EvCC will make a determination of placement based on our scoring guidelines, so what one school may have scored as placement in a particular class may not be the same at EvCC.

Based on your residency status, you will see Resident or Nonresident fees on your account. Check out Understanding Tuition and Fees in ctcLink (click to open) for more information.

How do I update my residency?

Tuition rates are determined by answers provided on your admissions application or registration forms. Questions about transcripts and credits

How do I access my EvCC transcript?

You can view your EvCC unofficial transcript online free of charge.
You can purchase your official online or in person at Enrollment Services.
Check out Requesting Transcripts from EvCC (click to open) for ways to obtain your transcript.

I took classes many years ago and have now decided to finish my degree. Do credits expire?

While typically credits do not expire, certain programs require students to complete credits within a window of time. Check with your advisor for the correct determination. Don't forget to check about other options for prior learning assessment, too!

I began at EvCC and transferred to another school. Will EvCC accept the classes I completed at my other school?

EvCC offers transfer credit evaluation for students who have previously attended or are currently registered for classes at EvCC.  An advisor will be able to look at your unofficial transcript and tell you with a reasonable amount of certainty what classes will apply to your designated degree or certificate goals. However, EvCC will need an official transcript in order to complete an official evaluation. Official transcripts should be submitted to the office of Enrollment Services with the proper form.
