Bookstore FAQs
Why does my class textbook information say "No Information"?
"No Information" means that the Bookstore has not received textbook information for a class. It could be that the course is not using a book. However, we recommend checking your class syllabus or contacting your instructor for confirmation.

Can I rent textbooks?
Yes! We have a wide variety of new and used textbooks for rent at great prices.
How does renting books work?
If a book is eligible for rental, you can rent it on-line or in the store. We take down some contact information for you as your rental profile, and you need a debit/credit card to secure your account. You can highlight, underline, and take small notes in your book like normal, as long as there is no liquid, spine, cover damage, or ripped or missing pages.
When are my rental books due back?
Generally, text books are rented for the current quarter; therefore your books are always due back on the last day of finals week or the last day of the quarter.
What will happen if I don’t bring my books back or I damage them?
If your books are not turned in on time, or they are damaged, you will be charged a replacement and processing fee to the card that you used to secure your account. After you are successfully charged, the books effectively become yours.
When is book buyback?
Book buyback is always open with the exception of the first week of each quarter.
How much money will I get back for my book?
We cannot guarantee specific prices as they are always subject to change.
Can I order online?
Yes! You can order your books online through our website; orders take 24 to 48 hours to process and can be picked up in-store or shipped to you. You may select new or used if available & rental or purchase during checkout for each book. Listed options are not always available so it's best to allow substitutions if you need your book right away.
Can I pay for parking at the bookstore?
The Bookstore does not operate parking services at EvCC. You can purchase a parking pass at the visitor pay-to-park stands or the cashiers office in the Parks building.
Can I rent a laptop or calculator from the bookstore?
The Bookstore does not offer rental equipment at this time. Rental laptops and calculators are generally available at the EvCC Library.
Are you open on weekends?
The EvCC Bookstore is closed on weekends and most National holidays. Textbook orders placed on weekends or holidays, will be usually be processed on the next business day.
What do I do if my book is not in?
If a book is not available when you come in to rent or purchase, we can process a special order or potentially offer other options.
