What did you study at EvCC?

Business and Communications

Why did you decide to study in the United States?

I decided to study in the U.S. because of its diversity. I was seeking a new environment that would provide me with a networking opportunity beyond Thailand and Southeast Asia.

Why did you choose EvCC?

The reason I chose EvCC is that EvCC provides one of the most prestigious education among other community colleges in the Seattle area. EvCC also has a big population base that allows students to develop a sense of community and helps students thrive in their area of interest.

Who helped you succeed at EvCC? What did that person do to help you?

Personally, I would like to give a big recognition to Mr. Visakan Ganeson who advised and prepared me through the interview process with universities including UC Berkley, UCSD, Boston University, etc. Advice from Mr. Visakan has shaped and expanded my perspective not only in the area of education, but also in the professional field.

What advice do you have for new EvCC international students?

Get out of your comfort zone and push yourself beyond your boundaries is the advice I would like to send out to the incoming international students. This is an opportunity for you to expand your vision, develop your personality, and acquire more connections.

What do you plan to do next?

I will be transferring to UC San Diego in California this upcoming fall quarter, pursuing my studies in International Business. Then I would like to apply for an MBA as well as Law School in the future. My goal in life is to impact the economy on a global scale and contribute to the world with my best potential.

Describe the best experience you had at EvCC.

Surviving as a Student Senator was one of the best experience that I had at EvCC. I got to learn how to work in the office environment, manage the college budget, and deal with other individuals with different perspectives. It was a new learning experience that I wouldn't get from a classroom atmosphere, with lectures and guidance from professors.

Anything else you want to add?

College life will be one of the stories you will be living with years from now, so why don't just make it the best you can. Don't be one in a MILLION... be one that stands out from a BILLION!
