EvCC’s Welcome Week Committee and The Trojan Activities Board wants to welcome you to Spring Quarter! We hope that all of our new students will join us all throughout the quarter for fun and engaging online activities. So come join the EvCC community, meet new people, win prizes and play at our Welcome Week’s Game Show Night!
 

Get bored of your study jams and just can’t seem to find the right tunes? Well, you’re in luck! Join us for “Study Jamz”, a new virtual music festival experience, featuring R&B, Pop, and Alternative pop.

The line-up includes the radical Nic Howell, the funky Jay Filson, the fantastic Jariah Higgins, the shining Lauren Light, and the lovable duo Sellout. All five performances jam packed into a two hour long performance led by the magical Jay Farley as our host.

In partnerships with Northwest Justice Project, EvCC is continuing to offer trainings and educational webinars on a range of civil rights and legal issues. These web seminars are free and open to the public. The next workshop in this series is about Public Benefits and will be held on Tuesday, January 12 at 3:00 pm with a  focus on Unemployment and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).

In honor of International Women’s Day (and month!) we have invited Dr. Julia Garcia to talk about female empowerment and leadership. Dr. Julia Garcia, or Dr. J, has a powerful speaking style, edgy performance poetry, small n’ mighty tech start up, and doctoral research that has impacted over half a million lives within the 12 years she has been speaking to audiences. She creates safe spaces for sharing meaningful stories and beautiful diversity. She gives students the opportunity to feel seen, heard and be truly connected.

Help support the EvCC Food Pantry by donating supplies to support our Trojan families during the Baby & Fur Baby Basics Drive! We are expanding our Food Pantry to support members of the EvCC campus community, their children, and even their pets!

Many college students have families of their own, and the EvCC Food Pantry would like to expand our supplies to help support them as well. We will be collecting donations from February 16 to March 8.

The Japanese Culture Club welcomes all students interested in learning more about Japanese culture, language and people through participation in events, workshops and activities. We meet every Thursday during Winter Quarter. It's easy to join - attend a meeting today!
