College Goal Washington Financial Aid and Admissions Workshop

College Goal Washington is a free, on-site program that helps students and families complete the 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form that is required to apply for federal financial assistance for higher education. For undocumented students, help is also available with filling out the 2024-25 Washington Application for State Financial Aid (WASFA). Staff will also be available to help attendees apply for college admissions to Everett Community College or other colleges. Assistance will be available in English and Spanish.

Grand Canyon University Information Table

There will be a representative from Grand Canyon University visiting EvCC to assist students interested in transferring to Grand Canyon U or have questions about the campus and what they offer. They can also assist with applications, scholarships availability, etc.

Transfer Application Essay Workshop

Come learn how to make your essay stand out as you apply to university. Applying to a university can be challenging. How do you know what to write in those essays? What are universities really looking for? The Writing Center presents this workshop to teach students how to come up with interesting topics and how to refine their ideas into memorable essays that will help them get into university.

The workshop will be held in Cascade 211 from 1 pm to 2 pm on Thursday, January 25th.

Winter Pathway Exploration Fair

The EvCC Pathway Fair is designed to allow students to explore their program options. Students can talk with program experts to learn what their pathway to the workforce could look like. Business, Healthcare, SSED, AMTEC, Aviation, and STEM, and some campus resources will be represented.

Scholarships & Conversation

A workshop to show students how to access the scholarship resources on the EvCC website and how to create profiles on The Washboard scholarship database. Laptops will be available so students can start working on writing scholarship applications during the workshop. The Diversity & Equity Center, the Writing Center, and PTK Honor Society will offer advice and help students get started on their applications. This workshop is important as a way to have students begin to do more effective financial planning while working on their writing skills.

Cosmetology Information Sessions

All Information Sessions are held via Zoom. Attendees will receive important information about the Cosmetology program at EvCC and how to get started in this exciting career. CTE Dual Credit Information Session

EvCC’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Dual Credit program offers high school students, in grades 9-12, the opportunity to earn both high school credit and college credit for college-level professional/technical courses right in their high school or tech skills center.
