Friday Beats with Olmeca - The Series "Meet Olmeca!"

Introducing Friday Beats with Olmeca - The Series! Join the Diversity & Equity Center in the weekly Friday events when you Zoom with Olmeca from 12-1pm. From poverty in Los Angeles, to big stages to faculty at University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Olmeca, has been featured in premiere media outlets for both his art and activism. Learn the ongoing journey of Olmeca as an artist, academic and activist. Get inspired, motivated, and learn more!

Join us for a virtual lounge to celebrate the life and legacy of Malcolm X and his daughters. The Diversity & Equity Center will be combining the importance of both Malcolm X Day and Mother’s Day through a discussion focusing on a panel of women. These women will speak about their careers and accomplishments, as well as the challenges that they have overcome.
