Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program
About MESA
The nationally recognized Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program at EvCC provides resources and extra support to students who want to transfer to four‐year colleges or universities in pursuit of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) based degrees.
The goal of MESA is to increase the number of higher education degrees in STEM acknowledging the gaps still seen with historically underrepresented (African American, Native American, Latino/Hispanic, or Pacific Islander/Hawaiian) community college students. Undocumented students are welcome to apply.
To join, students must be pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. Students that join MESA will be able to use the MESA center for studying, computer, and group work. MESA Program provides a variety of services such as borrowing textbooks, academic and professional development workshops, university trips, and field trips.
MESA Student Support Services
Students who participate in MESA receive one-on-one and group support to help them reach their goals:
