Capstone Project

The DESJ capstone project gives students an opportunity to apply what they have learned in their classes by taking it into the real world. It is completed in two quarters. First, students take DESJ 297: From Inquiry to Civic Action, which focuses on helping students prepare and narrow in on their subject and method of independent study. In the second quarter, students take DESJ 298, in which they complete their project while reflecting on and contextualizing their experience alongside other students and an advisor.
