Transformation

Artiist: James Madison

Artist Statement: "This sculpture represents a story my Father told me about a supernatural creature who hunts killer whales. This creature could compare to four of the largest Long Houses in size and hunted at sea, as well as on land. Using Tlingit form line style, there are whales designed into the creature's body, representing the Wolf and the Killer Whale, morphing into each other, creating the 'Seawolf.'"

Location: Whitehorse Hall - 2nd floor - south east corner - Student Lounge

Related Information: This sculpture was purchased from the artist in 2009 by the EvCC Art Collections Committee
