A Student Publication at Everett Community College since 1941
Our student-run news organization is the centerpiece of the program. Students are encouraged to take multiple quarters of The Clipper class as part of their preparation for the communication industry and transferring to a four-year institution. The Clipper offers a hands-on, real-life journalism experience in which the student journalists report, write, edit, produce and design content. They learn to deliver this content through a multi-channel distribution system, including print, web and social media. Media communication is in a state of change, with news and content being dispersed faster than ever. Students will learn how to quickly and accurately communicate information, while maintaining a high ethical standard.
