How to Prepare for an Internship
Step #1 - Write a resume and cover letter. Check out the tips in the Student Internship Handbook.
Step #2 - Create an account on the Student Job Center. Once you have an account, you will be able to search for internships that are posted there.
Step #3 - Talk to your academic advisor during your 3rd quarter advising session. Internships will be more beneficial to you and the employer during your second year of college.
Step #4 - Complete the required paperwork. An internship application can be found in the Student Internship Handbook. You will also need a resume, cover letter, and unofficial transcript.
Step #5 - Submit all your required documents to your Advisor or Internship Coordinator at least 8 weeks before the start your internship.
