Student Story-Hahn Ho

Hahn Ho

Hahn wanted to start a career in Cosmetology and in January of 2005, she enrolled in the Everett Community College Cosmetology program. She received funds through financial aid to support her enrollment for the first four quarters, and Workforce Development funded her last quarter of the program.

Hahn proved to be an excellent student throughout her enrollment with EvCC. She had perfect attendance for five quarters, and even won the "Outstanding Graduate" award from the college. Hahn graduated from EvCC Cosmetology on March 15, 2006 and started working as a hair stylist at Hair Masters in Snohomish. Hahn enjoys doing all of the services that Hair Masters offers, but her specialty is haircutting, especially men’s haircuts.

Recently, she was offered an assistant manager position; she feels that she is not ready just yet, but possibly in the near future. Hahn mentioned that there are a lot of opportunities to grow at her company and is enjoying her work very much. Hahn added that she was very glad she attended EvCC Cosmetology program and felt she was prepared for the salon when she graduated. She even felt that she knew so much more than her other co-workers that attended different beauty schools.

Hahn is looking at furthering her education by possibly going back to school to get her esthetician license.
