What happens if you missed a financial aid priority processing date?

What happens if you miss a financial aid priority processing date? If you missed a quarterly processing date, we will still process your late application, but it may not be reviewed until after the quarter begins. You may still receive financial aid if you qualify, but it may not be processed until after the quarter begins.  You will need to plan ahead accordingly, to cover your initial educational expenses (such as tuition, fees, books, transportation), while you are waiting for your eligibility to be determined.  If you are later awarded grant aid, it will be retroactive for the quarter(s) that you qualified. If you are pursuing Federal Direct Loans, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits required for your program, and you must submit your Loan Request Form prior to the end of the term you are requesting loans.

There are a number of alternative ways to fund your education,  while you are waiting for your late financial aid application to be reviewed:

  1. General Scholarship Opportunities - www.everettcc.edu/fa
  2. Part-Time Employment - contact the EvCC Human Resources Department.
  3. Alternative Student Loans - apply on-line with the lender of your choice or visit www.elmselect.com.
  4. Contact Workforce Funding to explore other funding sources. Take a short survey to find out! Completion of the online Start Next Quarter eligibility survey  will assist you in locating programs and resources potentially available to you. You will be able to register for a free orientation at the end of the survey - mandatory for certain grant programs.
  5. Deferred Payment - EvCC Tuition Payment Plan. Contact the Cashiers Office for more details at 425.388.9225.
