In Living Color: Celebrating Black Excellence

Student LIFE Programs Board and the Art Department are teaming up to present, In Living Color: Celebrating Black Excellence. Come join & paint with one another for a great experience that combines community activism and personal expression.

February 19, 2020 is painting day! In White Horse Hall (361) from 12:30-3:30pm we will be painting influential Black Americans from history (there will be pre-made stencils provided for everyone, this is a learning experience for all) as well as quotes in Black history to choose from!

The Next 7 Generations: Mentoring our Native and Indigenous Students

EvCC’s Diversity & Equity Center invites all Native and Indigenous students to a day of mentorship and community building. At this event, Native and Indigenous mentors will provide advice, support, and encouragement to students. Through storytelling, professional 
knowledge, and shared experiences, students will gain important guidance in following their future educational paths.  Join us for food, fun, and the opportunity to learn essential skills from successful Native and Indigenous professionals and leaders. 

College in the High School Celebration

Everett Community College's Diversity and Equity Center is hosting a College in the High School celebration for all high school seniors who are taking or have taken College in the High School classes. Join us for an evening of fun, food, and college discussion. We will be providing campus tours and enrollment information as well!

Italian Comfort Food Community Dinner

Community Kitchen Club invites you to cook and eat Italian-inspired dishes and meet new people at the Italian Comfort Food Community Dinner! $5 per person to cover the cost of ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Week "King in the Wilderness" Movie Night

Join BSU for the free showing of "King in the Wilderness" next Thursday from 4-8pm in Jackson Center in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Week! The movie will be followed by a discussion, plus there will be refreshments for club fundraising.

The Everett Community College Black Student Union (BSU) is a student led organization that promotes cultural, academic, intellectual and economic advancement. The BSU is open to all interested persons with a genuine interest in Black culture and the betterment of the Black community.
