Step by Step: How to Graduate!

  1. Complete the Graduation Application Process with Enrollment Services.
  2. RSVP to participate in the ceremony by May 12, 2025. This is how you will receive instructions for the Graduation Ceremony in spring.
  3. Purchase your cap and gown (required) from the EvCC Bookstore, online or in-person in PSU 260 beginning May 6, 2025.
  4. Invite your guests to attend!
    No tickets are required to attend the ceremony, as it is an unticketed event. Graduates must RSVP to participate.
  5. Arrive at the Angel of the Winds Arena at 3pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 with your cap and gown and graduate!
    Further instructions, updates, and information will be sent closer to the celebration to the email you entered at the time of RSVP.

Are you planning to graduate? Whether you plan to participate in the annual ceremony or not, you will need to apply for your degree or certificate. For more information, see the Graduation Application process page.

RSVP for the Commencement Ceremony

The RSVP deadline is Monday, May 12, 2025. This is how you will receive instructions for the Graduation Ceremony.

Purchasing Your Cap & Gown

Starting May 6, you can purchase your required cap, gown, and tassel at the EvCC Bookstore, PSU 260. Graduates keep all items (cap, gown, tassel, and optional honor cord, etc.)

Guest Tickets

Tickets are not required to attend the ceremony. This is an unticketed event. Graduates are required to RSVP to participate.

When & Where to Show Up

Graduates need to arrive in their cap & gown at 3pm to the Angel of the Winds Arena, entering through the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center doors only, then proceed to the Graduate Check-In and follow directions regarding the ceremony. 

The Edward D. Hansen Conference Center graduate-only entrance is located on Hewitt and Lombard, across the street from Brooklyn Brothers Pizza.

Your required cap and gown are your admission into the commencement ceremony. Please do not bring valuables (purses, bags, etc.) to the arena as there will be no secure place to leave these items.

Student Graduation Speaker & Performer

Nominations for a 2025 graduate to represent the class of 2025 as the Student Speaker and an EvCC student to perform the National Anthem during the ceremony were due Monday, April 7, 2025. Nominations are now closed.

Information for You & Your Guests

Prohibited Items & Clear Bag Policy

The Angel of the Winds Arena prohibits the following items: Non-clear bags larger than 4.5” x 6.5”, clear bags larger than 12”x16”x12, balloons, outside food and beverage, confetti (including silly string or similar items), noisemakers, air horns, backpacks, oversized bags, bottles, cans, glass, coolers, helmets, chains, spikes, tents, laser pointers, fireworks, weapons, animals or pets (except service animals), and inflatables.

CLEAR BAG POLICY NOW IN EFFECT: Angel Of The Winds Arena reserves the right to inspect any bag, clothing or other articles prior to entry and may prohibit entry or require removal/disposal of any items deemed inappropriate or potentially injurious. 

Please leave all unnecessary items in your vehicle or at home and have bags/coats ready for search as you approach the entrance.

If necessary, guests are only permitted to bring: clear plastic or vinyl bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”, Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5" x 6.5", one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag, certain exceptions for medical or diaper bags may be permitted after proper inspection, oversized bags, backpacks, multi-compartment bags, duffle bags and purses larger than 4.5" x 6.5" are not permitted, Seat cushions that have pockets, zippers, compartments, or covers are not permitted.

All items/contents in a bag must be clearly visible and identifiable for Security. Items, décor, or pouches may not be used to obscure the visibility of other contents in a bag.

Meet Your Guests/Graduates

Directly after the ceremony ends, graduates will exit the building and can find their friends and families outside the Angel of the Winds Arena. Designating a specific meeting place is recommended.

Angel of the WInds Arena is located at 2000 Hewitt Avenue, Everett WA. Click here for a map & directions.

Graduates must enter the Angel of the Winds Arena through the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center doors only. This graduate-only entrance is located on Hewitt and Lombard, across the street from Brooklyn Brothers Pizza.

There are thousands of parking spaces within walking distance of the Angel of the Winds Arena. Parking options include substantial free on-street parking and large public garages. Public garages include: Snohomish County Parking Garage, Volunteers of America Surface Lot, Republic Parking Angel of the Winds Arena Surface Lot, and Everpark Parking Garage.
