A Spectrum of Magic & Mayhem! |
April 28 12:00pm to 2:00pm |
This April, in celebration of Neurodiversity Awareness Month, join us for an unforgettable event that shines a light on the extraordinary talents within the Neurodivergent Community. Featuring remarkable performances by Autistic magician Cody Clark and ADHD/Dyslexic comedian Amy Schwartz, this event promises to be a unique celebration of creativity, resilience, and individuality. Expect mind-bending illusions, laughter, and a powerful message of inclusion as these diverse artists take the stage to showcase their talents and challenge stereotypes, all while honoring the vibrant and varied experiences of the Neurodivergent Community. The Trojan Activities Board, in collaboration with the Neurodivergent Student Support Club, is proud to invite all students to this informative event that strives to show the performing arts are not strictly for the neurotypical or able-bodied. By celebrating neurodivergent artists, this event aims to break down stereotypes and barriers that often prevent neurodivergent artists from sharing their talents. In a world where representation matters, this event aims to encourage young, up-and-coming neurodivergent artists to reach for their dreams and not to let things like autism, ADHD, dyslexia and more get in their way. Join us for an afternoon of lunch, laughter, and learning on April 28th from 12-2 PM in the Jackson Conference Center. Doors open and free pizza will be served at 12 PM while supplies last. Performances will begin at 12:30 PM followed by a Q&A session with both performers. Every EvCC student that attends will receive a free door prize and be entered to win two $25 VISA Gift Cards. For more information on this event, please contact Skyler Stensrud, Trojan Activities Board Coordinator, at skstensrud@everettcc.edu or Student LIFE Advisor, Lindsay Hudson, at lhudson@everettcc.edu or (425) 388-9508.
