Diversity & Equity Center Peer Navigators
Become a Peer Navigator at the Diversity & Equity Center!
What is a Peer Navigator?
Peer navigators are student mentors who help keep students in school by offering support, getting them connected to resources, connecting them with an advisor, and helping them stay on track with their academic plans.
What does a Peer Navigator do?
Peer navigators work alongside our D&E staff program managers/specialists and help their fellow students to achieve academic success. These students help to check up on things such as GPA, financial aid, making sure that students have advisors and helping navigate any challenges that they may need help with. You can read more about a peer navigator's role here. This includes information regarding activities, work requirements and salary.
How do I know if I qualify and how can I apply?
Most D&E peer navigators are Work Study students. If you qualify for financial aid and are able to have a Work Study position, you may send your resume to diversity@everettcc.edu. You can find out if you qualify to become a Peer Navigator by submitting a financial aid application to the Financial Aid office which can be found on their website. You may also email diversity@everettcc.edu or call us at 425-388-9306 for any further questions.
If you do not qualify for Work Study, there are other opportunities to work with D&E or Student LIFE! We are only a phone call or email away, so please contact us for more details.
