AWS Appstream
Amazon (AWS) Appstream is managed virtual desktops delivering desktop applications in the web browser to employees and course instruction at EvCC. AppStream is built on Amazon's Web Services (AWS) creating a secure and highly available experience for all our users. EvCC can now support many custom applications required by our employees and courses like Aviation, Arts, and Advanced Manufacturing.

Login to AppStream
If you are a student, staff, or faculty, the process is the same. To access Everett Community College's AWS Appstream:
- Go to, https://everettcc.awsapps.com/start/ -- You will be directed to the AWS login screen.
- Enter your EvCC username, then select Next.
- Enter your EvCC password, then select Sign in.
- On the next screen, Select the appstream you need.
- Your session will begin to prepare itself.
Depending on available machines, AWS Appstream will start new virtual desktops and prepare you to login. If this happens, it may take a few extra minutes to login as the new computer is started.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to Logout?
Although the Virtual Desktop is using Windows 10, to logout of the Desktop/AWS Appstream, Click the top-right profile option and click "End Session". Note: You will be prompted with a message: "End your session? Save any open documents. Your changes will be lost if you don't save them before ending the session."
Message: Your session is being prepared.
Your new AWS Appstream Desktop is getting created. The interface will give you a countdown from 2 minutes as it prepares the desktop. Once created, it will prompt you for your EvCC Account Password. Upon authentication, you will see the Appstream Desktop chosen in Step 4 above.
Message: No streaming resources are available.
EvCC reserves a certain number of minimum Virtual Desktops in AWS Appstream. With the power of the "cloud", we can scale up automatically the number of available. If you receive the message "No streaming resources are available." when clicking on an Appstream type, this means the minimum desktop available are being used. However, try again in a few minutes as more are created! If this problem continues more then 15 minutes, please contact Technology Services TechHUB
