The world was horrified last Friday by the event of two mosque shootings that attacked many worshipers in New Zealand. This tragic event impacted many students,staff, and faculty especially those of the Muslim community. Therefore, EvCC Muslim Student Association and Student LIFE would strongly encourage all EvCC students, faculty, and staff to the event to show support for the Christchurch tragedy victims, their families, and community.

We will have a moment of silence and prayer during the event at 12:00pm in Parks Student Union near Student LIFE. A table will be set up for those who would like to make a donation that will be directly distributed to the victims’ families in New Zealand from 10am-1pm. Additionally, we will give out ribbons as a symbol of solidarity and support for those who implicitly or explicitly involved in the tragedy.
