Building a Trauma-Responsive Educational Practice: Entering the Work

The Equity and Social Justice Division welcomes author & educator Emareena Danielles to speak to Everett Community College students, faculty and staff on "Building a Trauma-Responsive Educational Practice: Entering the Work."

Danielles is a master educator, field researcher and public scholar working at the intersection of education, corrections, criminal legal reform, and adult learning. Emareena’s first book,”Building a Trauma-Responsive Educational Practice: Lessons from a Corrections Classroom,” addresses the impacts of trauma on adult learning, focusing on countering the impacts of trauma on learning as a way to guide students toward rediscovering themselves as strong and capable learners on a pathway to a joyful and compassionate world.
