Fees

When registering, please check the Class Schedule for each class you will be taking and review the fee information for that course below. The fees listed below are for your information. Fees are subject to change. You can view your tuition and class fee balance in your Student Homepage. You can also print out an itemized receipt if needed.

Class Fee Definitions

These are fees students may be charged depending on the type of class or classes they take.

Computer Lab Fee

Classes that are taught in a computer lab setting will have a lab fee. Class fees can be seen in ctcLink after a student registers for a class.

eLearning Support Fee

All class modalities have a $3.30 per credit fee for use of Canvas, other web-based tools, and eLearning staff support. Class fees can be seen in ctcLink after a student registers for a class.

Field Trip/Supply Fee

Some classes charge a supply or field trip fee. Those are listed in the class schedule with each class. Self-Support Classes charge a class fee instead of tuition. The college does not receive state funding for this type of class. Class fees can be seen in ctcLink after a student registers for a class.

Integrated Materials Fee

Integrated course material fees cover access to the course eBook and/or Publisher materials via Canvas.  The fee is charged as a class fee to cover the cost of the required materials.  The fee is dependent on publisher charge so may change on a quarterly basis.

Lab Fee

Science classes that have a lab (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Geology) will have a lab fee. Class fees can be seen in ctcLink after a student registers for a class.

Studio Fee

Art classes will have a studio or lab fee. Those are listed in the class schedule with each class. Photography, Graphics and Multimedia classes will have a studio or lab fee. Class fees can be seen in ctcLink after a student registers for a class.

Mandatory Student Fees

These are fees that all students pay.

Student Campus Enhancement Fee

$5.00 per credit up to $50.00 maximum per quarter. This is a fee that every student pays on all credit classes. Students voted to assess this fee in 2007. It covers Student Fitness Center access and other campus enhancement projects. The Student Campus Enhancement Fee account is managed by a student committee. Contact Student LIFE in the Parks Student Union for more information. This fee is generally NOT listed in the class schedule with any classes, all students are assessed this fee.

Technology Fee

This is a fee, $4.50 per credit up to $45.00 maximum per quarter, that every student pays, on all credit classes. Students voted to assess this fee in 2004. It covers open student computer labs, access to email, wireless access, and other technical upgrades. The Tech Fee budget is managed by a student committee. The fee can only be increased with the approval of the ASB Senate. Contact Student LIFE in the Parks Student Union for more information. This is generally NOT listed in the class schedule with any classes, all students are assessed this fee.

Green Fee

Starting the Winter Quarter of 2018, the EvCC Student body voted to assess a Student Green Fee of $0.50 (fifty cents) per credit, not to exceed $7.50  per quarter per student.

The EvCC Green Fee will fund various sustainability and environmentally-focused projects and activities on campus while giving the student body more influence over how the campus approaches sustainability.

Other Instructional Costs

Self-Support

A number of EvCC classes are "self-support" and do not utilize state funding to cover their instructional costs. Therefore, the regular tuition schedule does not apply to self-support classes.

International Contract

International students pay an “international contract rate” for their registered classes and this is the same as the non-resident tuition rate. For more information, see international student costs and estimated expenses
