Tuition Reduction for Non-Residents Waiver
For state-supported classes, some students may be eligible for tuition reduction, also known as the "Non-Resident Operating Fee Waiver." As a general rule, tuition reduction programs do not apply to self-support classes. All lab and special fees, books, and supplies must be paid. Application for resident status must be received before the 30th calendar day of the quarter for which you are applying for recognition of residency.
Residency status is determined at the time your application for admission is processed. If you are a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident living in Washington, and were classified as non-resident because you have not lived in the State of Washington for 12 months yet, you may be eligible for a tuition discount. Applicants who qualify for this reduction must download and submit the Application for Tuition Reduction for Non-Residents form and one of the following documents:
- Current U.S. Passport
- U.S. Birth Certificate
- Valid and current Permanent Resident Card (Green Card)
