EVERETT, Wash. – A street that runs through Everett Community College’s main campus has a new name: Trojan Way.

The name honors the college’s mascot, the Trojan. Everett Junior College students selected the mascot by popular vote during the college’s first year, 1941.

The street, previously called Broadway, runs from about the 1100 block of N. Broadway Avenue, to Tower Street near EvCC’s Walt Price Student Fitness Center.

Trojan Way and Campus Drive street signs. Both EvCC student housing buildings, Mountain View Hall and Cedar Hall, are located on Trojan Way. To see Trojan Way on a campus map, visit EverettCC.edu/Maps.

The Everett City Council approved the name change in March, along with naming the road that begins at the main entrance to the college Campus Drive.

Everett Community College will begin its 80th academic year in September 2021.
