EVERETT, Wash. – Everett Community College’s 2022 graduation is at 7 p.m. June 17 at the Angel of the Winds Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett. No tickets are required for guests to attend the ceremony.

Graduates are required to RSVP to participate. Students who did not RSVP by the May 27 deadline should email studentlife@everettcc.edu.

Graduation will also be streamed live on the web starting at 7 p.m. on June 17. Go to EverettCC.edu/Graduation to watch online.

More than 1,900 students are expected to graduate from EvCC with a degree or certificate in 2021-22. About 400 students are expected to participate in commencement. Students who graduated in 2020 and 2021 were also invited to participate in this year’s graduation ceremony.

Graduates include student speakers Laila Boggan and Stephanie Pimentel. Boggan is a Running Start student who will earn a high school diploma from Snohomish High School and an Associate in Arts and Sciences - Direct Transfer Agreement from EvCC. Pimentel is graduating with an Associate in Technical Arts in Cosmetology and hopes to open her own salon in the future.

The increase in the number of students participating in graduation and the desire to allow more of graduates’ family and friends to attend the ceremony prompted EvCC to move graduation from an on-campus ceremony to Angel of the Winds Arena.

The Angel of the Winds Arena prohibits the following items: balloons, outside food and beverage, confetti (including silly string or similar items), noisemakers, air horns, backpacks, oversized bags, bottles, cans, glass, coolers, helmets, chains, spikes, tents, laser pointers, fireworks, weapons, animals or pets (except ADA service animals) and inflatables.

Guests may bring flowers for graduates. Tripods for photos may be set up in the designated Section 203.
