Everett Community College to induct 1 team, 6 individuals into Athletic Hall of Fame

EVERETT, Wash. – Everett Community College will induct six former athletes and one team into the college’s Athletic Hall of Fame at a dinner June 6 at EvCC’s Walt Price Student Fitness Center. 

Current student athletes and teams of the year will also be recognized for academic and athletic excellence at the celebration. To attend, RSVP at EverettCC.edu/Athletics. The cost is $35 per adult and $20 per child age 12 and younger.

“I am really looking forward to this year’s event,” EvCC Athletic Director Garet Studer said. “We have a great group of deserving individuals from our different periods in history. The 2014 women’s soccer team is not only our most recent NWAC Championship team, they are also one of the most accomplished teams in our school’s history.”  

The 2024 Hall of Fame induction class includes Lauren Allison, Mace Brady, Dick Foxal, Inderbir Gill, George Gyorgyfalvy, Geoff Kittle, and the 2014 Northwest Athletic Conference champion women’s soccer team.

Lauren Allison

Lauren Allison is one of the best offensive soccer players in EvCC history and the second women’s soccer player inducted into the EvCC Athletic Hall of Fame. She is the all-time, single-season leading scorer with 22 goals, and she also scored the most career goals with 35.

Mace Brady

Mace Brady joined Everett Junior College’s gymnastics team in 1965. Competing at the Northwest Championships, which featured mainly university programs, Mace led the team with 254 points. He continued to compete and later coached high school and college gymnastics. 

Dick Foxal

Dick Foxal was a gymnast at Everett Junior College. In 1965, he scored more points than two other competing schools at the Northwest Championships. He later coached gymnastics for 38 years at the high school and college levels. 

Inderbir Gill

Inderbir Gill played basketball for two seasons for the Trojans, from 2005 to 2007. He averaged 16.7 points, 7.5 assists, six rebounds and four steals per game during his sophomore season. One season, he led the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges in steals and assists. Inderbir now plays 3x3 basketball professionally.

George Gyorgyfalvy

George Gyorgyfalvy taught physical education classes at Everett Junior College from 1961 to 1967. In his fourth year, he started the gymnastics program. Over the next three years, George coached a number of standout athletes.

Geoff Kittle

Geoff Kittle took over the women’s soccer program in 2009 and coached for seven seasons. He is the all-time winningest coach in program history with 88 wins. His teams won four north region titles and the program’s first NWAC championship in 2014, when Geoff was named coach of the year.

The 2014 women’s soccer team won the NWAC Championship, earned the most wins in program history (20), and is one of only 14 teams in the history of NWAC to win 20 games in a single season. Geoff Kittle was named coach of the year while Lauren Allison, Victoria Lentz, Kelsie Neill, Emily Nelson and Mikayla Whitton were named to the NWAC All-Star Team.

Members of the Athletic Hall of Fame were selected by a committee of community members, coaches and EvCC leaders.
