EVERETT, Wash. – Everett Community College students returning from Spring Break will notice some changes as classes resume April 1: golf putting greens across campus.

EvCC’s campus is offering new classes in the business pathway to increase enrollment. Classes will include Caddying 101,  Golf Cart Maintenance and Repair, and Gopher Wrangling.

During the two weeks between winter and spring quarters, putting greens were installed over the grassy area between Gray Wolf and Shuksan halls near the new amphitheater and parking lots F, D and half of E.

“I can’t wait to experience an outdoor concert at the amphitheater while playing golf at the same time,” student leader Carol West said.

To make up for the loss of parking spaces, students can drive their own golf carts to campus.

“Watch out for flying golf balls as you find your new classrooms today,” Golf Course Facilities Manager Ken Tucker said.
