EVERETT, Wash. – The Everett Community College (EvCC) Foundation will host its annual benefit breakfast, providing an opportunity for attendees to support student scholarships and college programs. The event will take place from 8-9 a.m. on April 22 at the Walt Price Student Fitness Center on EvCC's campus.

Guests are encouraged to RSVP by April 15 at EverettCC.edu/Foundation or call 425-388-9555. Admission is free, and attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to the EvCC Foundation.

The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Kafiya Arte, an EvCC alumna who began her academic journey at EvCC and has since earned multiple degrees from the University of Washington, Ross University School of Medicine, and Washington State University, Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine. Her work has taken her around the world, supporting others in healthcare and engaging in nonprofit efforts for the greater community.

In addition to Dr. Arte, the program will include remarks from EvCC President Dr. Chemene Crawford, a current EvCC student, and Foundation Executive Director Kristen McConaha. Speakers will share powerful stories of resilience, achievement, and the lasting impact of scholarships and emergency funding.

"Last year, the Looking to the Future Benefit Breakfast raised $105,000, and the goal is to surpass that amount this year," McConaha said. "Every contribution makes a meaningful difference, whether it funds scholarships, provides emergency aid, or supplies essential equipment and technology for students."

The EvCC Foundation partners with businesses, community leaders, and individuals to empower students and help shape the region's future workforce.
