EvCC partners with Lake Washington Tech, Cascadia to expand continuing education

EvCC partners with Lake Washington Institute of Technology, Cascadia College to expand continuing education courses 

Kirkland, Wash. – Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech), the only public institute of technology in Washington state, has entered into a partnership with Everett Community College (EvCC) and Cascadia College (Cascadia) to provide corporate continuing education programs through EvCC’s Corporate and Continuing Education Center (CCEC) to LWTech’s service area which includes Kirkland, Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond, Woodinville and Bothell. 

CCEC’s mission is to develop and deliver training programs that enrich lives and promote individual, corporate and community prosperity. LWTech joins Cascadia and EvCC, who have partnered to offer continuing education courses since 2012.

“We are so pleased to join this collaborative partnership that allows us to expand, accelerate and strengthen our continuing education programs to better meet the needs of professionals in the eastside community,” said Dr. Amy Morrison Goings, president of LWTech. “By having one point of contact, companies will experience a streamlined approach to continuing education.” 

“Everett and Cascadia’s success in offering corporate and continuing education courses over the last three years has been extremely positive. The addition of LWTech’s collaboration in this effort gives us the opportunity to serve our community’s needs to an even greater level,” said Dr. Eric Murray, president of Cascadia. 

“By working together, LWTech, Cascadia and EvCC will offer high-quality continuing education courses to thousands of working professionals and employers,” said EvCC President Dr. David Beyer. “The partnership increases training and education opportunities to keep the workforce in our community ready for a changing economy.”

Courses will be offered at LWTech’s Redmond campus at 6505 176th Ave. NE starting April 4. Classes this spring will be offered in the following areas: Project Management, Lean Six Sigma, Leadership, Information Technology and Networking. 

Registration for Spring quarter corporate continuing education and training courses will be available Feb. 8 on the EvCC website at EverettCC.edu/Eastside. For more information about continuing education courses, visit EvCC’s website or call 425-267-0150

LWTech and EvCC will be hosting an open house at LWTech’s Redmond campus from 5:30pm-7:30pm on March 22 with information about courses, programs and training opportunities available.
