Equipment Loans
The CDS Office has some equipment available for loan. These loans are at no cost to you, however they are on a first-come-first-serve basis. We provide this equipment for students to check out while taking classes at EvCC. This equipment is lent out as a courtesy and generally not considered an accommodation.
These things include:
- Voice Recorders
- SmartPens
- FM Systems
- Footstools
- Crank handles for Adjustable Height Tables
- Wireless Mouse
- Small-size keyboards
- Wrist pads
- Document Holders
- Headsets for Voice Dictation software
When you check out equipment, you will sign a Student Loan Agreement. This Agreement states that you understand:
- It is your responsibility to return the unit in working order.
- If the unit is damaged or lost, you will be billed for replacement.
- The unit is due on the last day of each quarter.
- You may renew your loan throughout the year, but all loaned units must be checked in by the last day of Spring quarter for inventory.

If your loaned equipment is damaged or lost, please let the CDS Office know. You may be liable for a replacement charge for lost items and an extenuating circumstances appeal may be completed, if applicable.
