Everett Community College’s graduation is June 11

EVERETT, Wash. – Everett Community College’s 2023 graduation is at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 11 at the Angel of the Winds Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave. in Everett. 
No tickets are required for guests to attend the ceremony. Graduates were required to RSVP by May 27. 

Graduation will also be streamed live on the web starting at 4 p.m. on June 11. Go to EverettCC.edu/Graduation to watch online.

Nearly 1,300 students are expected to graduate from EvCC with a degree or certificate in 2022-23. About 450 students are expected to participate in commencement. 

Graduates include student speakers Baydaa Alshatee and Alexis Flores-Elsbree. Alshatee has served as student senator, Associated Student Body vice president of budget, ASB president, president of the Muslim Student Association and president of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She will earn a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts and Sciences - Direct Transfer Agreement from EvCC. 

Flores-Elsbree is graduating with her Cosmetology Certificate and Hair Design Certificate and is already working at her dream job in Seattle. She hopes to inspire her teenage daughter and the next generation of students.

The Angel of the Winds Arena prohibits the following items: non-clear bags larger than 4.5 by 6.5 inches, clear bags larger than 12 by 16 by 12 inches, balloons, outside food and beverage, confetti (including silly string or similar items), noisemakers, air horns, backpacks, oversized bags, bottles, cans, glass, coolers, helmets, chains, spikes, tents, laser pointers, fireworks, weapons, animals or pets (except ADA service animals) and inflatables. 

Guests are asked to leave all unnecessary items in vehicles or at home and have bags and coats ready for search at the entrance. 

Guests may bring flowers for graduates. Tripods for photos may be set up in the designated Section 203.
