Crafty Conversations ft. Hufsa Ahmad

Are you tired, stressed, and overworked? We have a solution for you: come join us in Jackson 106 on Thursday, May 23 and DIY your own FREE mental health journal! There will be countless ways to personalize your journal and make it uniquely YOU - with stickers of all kinds, mod podge, to any other craft supplies you can imagine. There will be FREE snacks available for anyone who participates. Pop by anytime from 12-2pm and let your stress melt away. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create!

Once you’ve made your journal, make your way to Jackson 101 where we’ll be hosting a mental health talk by the one-and-only Hufsa Ahmad from 2-3:30pm. Hufsa is a therapist, mental health advocate, stand-up comedian, and Pakistani-American, Muslim woman who has served in the mental health field for twelve years. Having transformed from a victim of her illness to a champion of recovery, she dedicates her life to helping other individuals with mental health diagnoses find treatment, recovery, and peace, as well as change the world's view of mental health, with her humor and insight.

This workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning more about mental wellness for themselves or others. Each and every one of us can learn a thing or two about how to better effectively communicate. So, free up your calendars – we can’t wait to see you there!
