Everett Does not have a Free Nursing Program for International Students
There is misleading information on the internet stating that Everett has a free nursing program for international students. We do not. Only current students at Everett that have or are just finishing up their prerequisites for the program are permitted to take the nursing application class. Please do not submit a class permission form otherwise.
NEW CPR CLASS STARTING FALL QUARTER
The Health Science Department will start offering American Heart Association BLS and First Aid classes this fall quarter. All students, healthcare providers, and community members are welcome to take the class. Additional CPR class information.
Pre-Nursing to Medical Assistant Pathway
Looking for a way to start working in the healthcare industry while you finish your nursing degree?Thinking of a change in pathway?
Did you know that some of your nursing prerequisites transfer to the Medical Assisting program? That's right approximately 30 credits from your nursing prerequisites count towards a Medical Assistant Certificate and even more count towards the Associate of Applied Science Transfer degree.

Pre-Nursing Getting Started Checklist
- Apply for admission to EvCC - Get Started
- Attend a nursing information session
- To get transcripts evaluated, send official copies to our Enrollment Services along with the Transfer Credit Evaluation Request Form
- Send the Placement Form to Entry Advising
- If you need transcripts from outside the United States evaluated
- If you have never attended a college before, complete placement testing
- Meet with Entry Advising, they will assign you a nursing adviser
- Review the program's prerequisite courses
- Build an Academic plan in Starfish
- See your assigned advisor or a nursing advisor (early in your educational journey) to get your plan approved

Applying for the Fall nursing cohort - Application deadline is July 12: Take the Nursing Application Class Spring quarter.
Applying for the Winter nursing cohort - Application deadline is September 12: Take the Nursing Application Class Summer quarter.
Applying for the Spring nursing cohort - Application deadline is January 12: Take the Nursing Application Class Fall quarter.
Applying for the Fall evening nursing cohort ( offered every other fall) - Application deadline is July 12: Take the Nursing Application Class Spring quarter during these years 2025, 2027, and 2029.
