Video description: In Everett Community College's Intro to Robotics class (Mechatronics 119), students with little or no experience with robotics and programming work in teams to create robots out of LEGO. Using LEGO robotics platforms, students learn the basics of robotic operation, programming, interfacing, and materials handling. In Spring quarter 2019, three students found an existing program to solve a Rubik's cube puzzle and figured out how to build a robot compatible with the program. The five-credit class can be applied to any of the degrees offered through EvCC's Advanced Manufacturing Training & Education Center (AMTEC) and is open to any student who meets the prerequisites.
