Physical Education, Health and Wellness
EvCC's Physical Education, Health and Wellness (PEHW) Department offers a fully transferable program of study for students who wish to fulfill their lower division requirements at EvCC prior to transferring to a college or university for a major in a variety of exercise science degrees, such as kinesiology, exercise physiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, physical education, and sport psychology.
Transfer destinations include Western Washington University, Washington State University, University of Washington, Eastern Washington University, Central Washington University, Bellevue College, Seattle Pacific University, and Seattle University. EvCC graduates are working as strength and conditioning coaches, sport coaches, athletic trainers, personal trainers, wellness program managers, PE teachers, physical or occupational therapists, and many other occupations.
Classes offered in the PEHW Department can also be used to fulfill your general education elective requirement. Additionally, many student athletes, veterans and international students appreciate the opportunity to take 5 credit, 2 credit, or 1 credit PEHW classes to meet their eligibility requirements.
