Associate of Science Degree in Chemistry

An Associate of Science degree in chemistry will prepare you for transfer to a university for a bachelor’s degree in chemistry. Many chemists also earn an M.S. or Ph. D. in chemistry. An associate of science degree from EvCC will prepare you to begin junior-level work at most universities. Your faculty advisor can assist you in planning your time here.

Chemistry is also an important area of study for students interested in other sciences and those whose career plans include medicine, dentistry, and nursing. Chemistry is a prerequisite for many biology courses, so you may want to begin your study of chemistry as soon as possible in your time at EvCC.
