Logging Into AccessPortal

Username and password errors are incredibly frustrating. This page provides a list of tools that may help you troubleshoot your login difficulties.

1. Expired Password

If you are having difficulties, it's usually because your campus password has expired. If you haven't changed your password in 180 days or more, you will still be able to log into your EvCC email/Gmail, MyEvCC and Canvas, but other applications (Like AccessPortal) give a “Wrong Password” error.

You can check the status of your campus password and update your campus login password at the EvCC My Account page.

2. Invalid Password Characters

If you have changed your password within the last 180 days, and you're still having trouble logging in you may have invalid characters in your password.

  • Your password may contain symbols that are invalid for AccessPortal such as < > : { [ ] }
  • Your password may begin with an invalid symbol such a period (.), - or _. 
  • Your password contains spaces (spacebar).
  • Try to limit password symbols to: ! # $ % ^ & * + =  if possible.

If your password does contain symbols, try updating your password in EvCC My Account.

3. Locked or In-Active Account

  • If you have attempted to log in more than three times, your account may be locked. (CDS Staff will need to unlock your account.)
  • If you have not taken classes at EvCC in over 1 year, your account may be inactive. You may need to be reactivated and if you haven't taken classes in several years, you may need a new intake appointment.
  • If you just completed an intake appointment and this is your first time logging in, be aware that it may take some time for your account to become active. It usually takes 2-3 days to activate your AccessPortal account and sync it with EvCC's student records. Contact us if you are still unable to login a week after your intake appointment.
  • If you are a new EvCC student and have not yet started taking classes, or you are a returning student and did not take classes the previous quarter, your EvCC login credentials may not yet be ready to use in AccessPortal. If this is the case, this will resolve itself about a week before classes start. If you need to request accommodations before this time, please contact our office to help submit the accommodation request manually.
  • You can email cds@everettcc.edu and we will unlock your account or investigate any issues! 

For Faculty

If you are having trouble logging in, be sure you are trying to log into the Faculty AccessPortal page. If you're still having problems, contact our office to reset your account.

CDS Staff, Peer Notetakers and Campus Liaisons should log into the Student AccessPortal page.
 

Additional AccessPortal Information

AccessPortal is the application that we use to keep all of our data information in one central location. It is connected to EvCC's student and class records system and updates with this information every day around 1:00 p.m. It uses EvCC's single-sign-on credential system. This platform is called Accessible Information Management. The data is protected with 256-bit SSL encryption and meets FERPA privacy regulations as well as criteria set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Trust Service Principles.
