Priority Processing Dates for Financial Aid Application Completion

EvCC's Financial Aid Office evaluates financial aid applications based on the quarterly priority dates listed below.

2024-2025 Academic Year Priority Processing Dates:

Summer 2024  April 26, 2024
Fall 2024 June 7, 2024
Winter 2025  November 8th, 2024
Spring 2025  February 17th, 2025

Important: You automatically miss the priority date if you submit the FAFSA/WASFA on the same day. We recommend you file your FAFSA or WASFA at least two weeks in advance of the priority date , and you must also submit any requested documents by the deadline. Students that are registered and have met the prioriity processing date will be reviewed first.

A priority processing date is considered met if you have applied for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or WASFA (Washington Application for State Financial Aid) and all completed paperwork requested by EvCC's Financial Aid Office is submitted by the date noted above (depending on your starting quarter).

You need to fill out your FAFSA or WASFA every year. If you met the quarterly priority date, you may be eligible for a tuition postponement hold. This means we will keep you registered in your classes while you are waiting for your aid eligibility to be determined before the quarter begins. Any applications completed after that quarter's deadline may not be reviewed in time for tuition payment.

What happens if you missed a financial aid priority processing date? If you apply and complete your application requirements after the priority date, we will still process your late file, but it may not be reviewed until after the quarter begins. You will need to plan ahead accordingly, to cover your initial educational expenses, while you are waiting for your eligibility to be determined. If you are later awarded grant aid, it will be retroactive for the quarter(s) that you qualified. If you are pursuing Federal Direct Loans, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits required for your program, and you must submit your Loan Request Form prior to the end of the term you are requesting loans.

There are a number of alternative ways to fund your education,  while you are waiting for your financial aid application to be reviewed and processed.
