Akwasi Dampson, Njabulo Mdima, Vivian Sit

Akwasi Dampson, Njabulo Mdima, and Vivian Sit are international students attending Everett Community College through a special scholarship sponsored by the Department of State and an educational consortium called Community Colleges for International Development (CCID).

As part of their program, the CCID students earn a certificate in a chosen field, participate in leadership activities, do service learning in the community, and have mentor families from the community who help them negotiate American life. 

Akwasi Dampson is from Ghana and is studying Accounting and Finance. Njabulo Mdima is from South Africa and is studying Business Administration. Vivian Sit is from Brazil and is studying Public Relations and Communication Studies. They sat down to discuss their experience as international students at Everett Community College and the things that have made them successful here.
