Everett Community College Sustainability Volunteer Program Gets People Working

In order to highlight the success of EvCC's volunteer program, established on campus around 10 years ago, EvCC Sustainability partnered with Custodial Services and College Advancement to create a video, which was presented at the 2018 AASHE Conference and Exposition in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The topic of the video focuses on how refugees, immigrants and other underserved populations have benefitted from the program, as it lends them practical work experience while getting a formal education, and in the case of refugees and immigrants, allows them to immerse themselves in the culture of the United States and learn english. The program also benefits the campus by providing staffing for our campus's comingled recycling and much, much more. Learn more by watching our film!
