Timely warning: Attempted Robbery at EvCC - March 13

The following is a timely warning of an ongoing threat to the safety of our campus community.

The Everett Community College Security Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred in the Main EvCC Campus parking lot K on March 13 around 7:45 p.m. At this time, 2 males approached a vehicle and attempted to enter, but were unsuccessful. The vehicle owner was able to drive away from the situation. If you have any additional information related to this incident, please contact EvCC Security at oasecurity@everettcc.edu or the Everett Police Department non-emergency line at 425-407-3999 or their online reporting system

Reports of a crime or incident of concern can be made online, by phone at 425-388-9990, or in-person at Parks room 226 during business hours. If you are at EvCC and have an immediate safety concern, please call 911 and then EvCC Security at 425-388-9990.

A FEW PREVENTION TIPS:

  • Campus Security recommends that you lock your vehicle and keep windows rolled up if sitting inside.
  • Park in well-lit areas, if possible.
  • Walk in pairs or groups at night. 
  • Call Security for an escort from your building to your vehicle if alone or uncomfortable. Security can be reached at 425-388-9990. 
  • Be alert to your surroundings. 

Whenever you observe criminal activity or what appears to be criminal activity, IMMEDIATELY call the police at 911 or Campus Security at (425) 388-9990.

You have received this notification in compliance with the Clery Act and because you are part of the EvCC community. The Clery Act requires colleges to issue timely warnings about crimes that constitute a serious or ongoing threat to the campus community.
