EvCC is not accepting CARES Act aid applications

EvCC is no longer accepting applications COVID-19 emergency funding.  We have exhausted the available funds for 2021-22.

Winter 2022 

EvCC is no longer accepting applications for Winter quarter. If you previously applied, awarding of funds is made on a case-by-case basis. The maximum amount awarded for Winter quarter 2022 will be $3,000. 

Notification of the status of your CARES act application will be sent to the email address you provided on your application. Please check your spam/junk folder if you do not see a response in your inbox.

Disbursements of CARES funds can take 30 days or more after you receive your award notification letter.

Results or requests for additional information will be communicated via email. Please notify the Financial Aid office if you are planning to enroll in less than 12 credits to avoid delays. 

Funding will be disbursed using your refunding preference established with BankMobile. For more information about BankMobile visit: https://bankmobiledisbursements.com/how-it-works/. Please contact EvCC’s Financial Aid office for additional information about establishing your refunding preference.

Please be sure your current address is on file with Enrollment Services. To update your address, login to ctcLink and from the Student Homepage, click on Profile. In the left navigation, click Contact Details. If you do not have an email address with a Home type, click the [ + ] to add a new personal home email address. Update the rest of your contact info, if needed. International students, the personal information you list could affect your immigration status. See this guide for instructions about how to list your address and contact information.

Questions and Answers

What kinds of expenses are allowable?

Expenses have expanded to include tuition,housing and any component of the cost of attendance. Here are some examples:

  • Computer Hardware/Software (examples: laptop, webcam, printer, router, hotspot, wifi, internet)
  • Living Expenses (examples: student housing, rent, utilities, childcare)
  • The cost of going to EvCC (examples: tuition, lab fees, books)

Does the money need to be repaid? 

No, money received through this fund does not need to be repaid.

Would this funding reduce my financial aid? 

No, this fund does not negate nor replace financial aid, and it is a one-time grant.
