Best practices information demonstrate that a college success course can stimulate retention and completion to a significant degree.  It is expected this course will significantly increase both retention and completion of all EvCC students.

College 101:  2 credit/ College Success
Includes curriculum in:

• College resources/services
• Successful student habits
• Pathways through college/vocabulary/degrees
• Communication/relationship/diversity
• Time management
• Learning styles
• Study skills:  note taking, memory, study skills
• Financial literacy
• Choosing a college major
• Choosing an advisor and developing an Academic Plan
• Goals for college and beyond
