Black History Month: Barbershop & Beauty Salon Fundraiser

The Barbership & Beauty Salon Fundraiser is part of EvCC's Black History Month events, organized by the Diversity & Equity Center.

Barbershops and beauty salons are places where Black people of all ages can gather in a relaxing space to get more than just a new hairstyle. These places house
conversations about our daily lives, neighborhoods and the future of our community.

At this talk, industry veterans and students will come together with music and discussion. It is a place to uplift one another through courageous conversations and will be an oasis of support and encouragement.

Haircuts, a selection of hairstyles, manicures, and food will be available to purchase in order to support the African Diaspora Club and Black Student Union. Cash only.

  • Hairstyles by Buddha Blendz Barbershop and Anointed Touches Hair Salon ($20)
  • Nails by EvCC Cosmetology School ($10)
  • Food from Snazzy Eats ($20, with a $15 student discount)

Everett Community College's 2024 Black History Month events celebrate this year’s theme of “African Americans & The Arts." Join us for cultural festivities including: food, captivating arts, and educational programs, community building, and inclusive spaces for all students, faculty, staff, admin, and campus community to learn and enjoy. Together we will honor the profound impact of African and African American contributions throughout history and today.
